Subway — Restaurant in Butte

I have never been told that I had to have my sandwich toasted. I ordered a slidder. Roast beef and Swiss. Said please do not toast mine. To which lead me into a 5 minute conversation with me listing to the employee try to explain why she was required to toast my sandwich... Apparently when you order that slidder they are required to toast it EVEN AGAINST THE REQUEST OF THE PERSON WHO IS GOING TO BE EATING THE SANDWICH IN QUESTION... I had no option to enjoy my untoasted sandwich- as she was explaining the process SHE CONTINUED TO TOAST MY SANDWICH, while I begged her to leave it as a cold sandwich. Apparently her reasoning was the roast beef for that sandwich was required by health department to be toasted. Once my sandwich was in the oven, she asked my son what he would like and he ordered the roast beef sandwich on flat bread. We all watched this employee who just TOLD ME MY SANDWICH WAS REQUIRED TO BE TOASTED- use the same roast beef for the flat bread and not issue a 5 minute speech on how it was a requirement for it to be served warm. Completely blown away by the way I was treated. IF I WANT MY SANDWICH COLD, I SHOULD GET MY SANDWICH COLD. IF I WANT IT HOT, BY ALL MEANS TOAST IT UP... But it should be my choice. Will think three times before I return to...

My boyfriend and I, went to go get dinner here thinking we would get the best service. I walked in and I got the vibes that both; the girl and the guy that was working on Monday 9/6/21 at 4pm, did not want my boyfriend and I to be there. I ordered first; I got the tuna melt, 6in white bread, tuna, pep, and American cheese. The girl that was working, didn’t ask me what I wanted on my sandwich, I had to tell her what I wanted. She was really rude to me and my boyfriend. My boyfriend got; steak and cheese, ft long. I told her that I wanted ranch dressing and Cesar dressing, she did the ranch, they only added one drop of Cesar dressing which I always get a lot. When she was done making my sandwich, I asked her if she put Cesar dressing. She said yes I did, in a really snotty tone. And the guy that was working went really fast with our order. I used to work here a few years ago. A lot of people told me that Gene was hard to work for but I really didn't think he was. Those comments I'm assuming came from people who didn't do what they were hired for and getting paid to do like I was. I was very thankful he gave me a job and I was eventually promoted to Closing Shift Supervisor. I enjoyed working with the public and getting to be in a supervisor position. Also love the food there. Prior to working here, my mom and I ate here a few times and came thru the drive in with friends as well and got professional knowledgeable, courteous service.
