I stopped by Standard Oil Coffee Company this morning and ordered an iced Pumpkin Spice Latte with oat milk — it was fantastic! Perfectly balanced, smooth, and full of fall flavor without being overly sweet. The quality of the coffee really shines through.

The shop itself is a gem. Located in the beautifully preserved historic Standard Oil building, it has so much charm and character. It’s the kind of space that makes you want to sit, relax, and really enjoy your coffee.

Carly, the owner, is incredibly kind and welcoming, and it’s clear she puts a lot of care into every detail. On top of that, their prices are the best I’ve seen in town — great coffee, great service, and a great value all in one place.

Standard Oil Coffee Company has a great atmosphere, and there is on-street van-accessible parking directly in front, which makes access very convenient for wheelchair users. The tables do provide knee clearance; however, the base of the tables may interfere with the front of a wheelchair, making it difficult to pull in close and sit comfortably while enjoying food or drinks. The single user restroom is wheelchair accessible, which is a positive feature and allows for independent use. This brand new coffee shop is an outstanding addition to downtown Cañon City. Such a beautiful use of an historic space in the Standard Oil building. Friendly staff, clean space, and well run.
