Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Cabot

I really wanted to like it here. I saw really wonderful reviews and decided to come after some of the newness wore down. I went in knowing the food is mediocre and was totally okay with that. The cleanliness and aesthetic was nice and comfortable. The service was very poor. I understand she was a young waitress and I’m very much understanding that a mistake or two can happen. This was just so much more than that. She never put in our appetizer which she said she did right in front of us as we ordered it. I asked for extra dressing, never came either. Food came out at the same time as our appetizer salad and breadsticks (we should be able to enjoy our appetizers first, and not have our meal cold by the time we get to it). The food itself was fine. We had finished our appetizer plates and set them aside on the edge of the table and they were never picked up. Then our dinner plates to the side while we had dessert, which were never picked up. Empty cups didn’t get refilled until a manager walked around and noticed the glass completely empty. By the time we were fully complete with our food and ready to go… there were 15 dishes on the table, totally overwhelming and not a single one picked up the entirety of the time we were there. We arrived at 9:30, and we received our appetizers before our drinks. It took an hour for us to get our drinks. Additionally, we were served old salad. One of our friends ordered the Tour of Italy but received only grilled chicken with cheese because the kitchen had closed, despite us arriving and being seated in time to receive our food.

In my opinion, the color of my skin played a significant role in the disrespectful customer service we experienced. To make matters worse, the manager never came out to apologize for our poor service. This was the worst experience I have ever had at Olive Garden, and I will never return to this location again. I couldn't bring myself to leave a tip, as there is no excuse for the treatment we received last night. Honestly, giving this place a one-star rating is me being generous. The waiter kept complaining about how short they were and how overworked she was when I witnessed waiters and staff standing around doing nothing and on a $200 dollar bill we definitely...

Servers were on their A game. They did phenomenal.

The host were very unprofessional. Use foul language. My grandmother got there 15 minutes early before all of us for our reservation of 9. Then proceeded to tell her they were getting the table set up for us “now” to go and sit down. When we got the notification the table was ready, they sat down another party in our reservation they just set up. Not paying attention. Then we had to wait for another table to become available.

As for myself, I am in the restaurant industry. Mistakes happen. But own up to it. And do not disrespect my mother. And then blatantly proceed to talk about your customers.

If you are going to hire teenagers, hire some with more respect and professionalism. I could not believe, how unprofessional they were. The host are primarily the face of the business. They are the first people we see to walk in that greet us.
