We have ordered from this Papa Johns for years and have never had an issue. Tonight, we ordered and when the order was delivered, we took it inside like usual. When I opened the box, I realized it was not our order. Then I looked at the outside of the box, and the name and address were for someone else. My husband called the store to let them know of the issue. In the automated system it says to push 5 for a manager, and he did. When he explained the issue, the woman he spoke to said she would send the driver back to pick up the order to deliver to the correct address and bring our order. When the driver got here, she did not have our correct order, but said she would be back with it and took the incorrect order to deliver to the correct address. We waited almost an hour and as my husband started to call back, he received a call from the store stating our food had been sitting there for a long time and wanting to know if we wanted them to remake the order, deliver this one, or receive a refund. My husband asked her why it hadn't been sent out since the driver had told us she would be back almost an hour ago. The lame response was they had other orders and limited drivers. We opted for the refund but we're left with a seriously bad taste with the service. I have two issues. They delivered the wrong order and after it had been at my house for 15 minutes by the time the driver got back, they were delivering that order to the correct address. I didn't want someone else's pizza, so the issue is not that they picked it up. This situation left me wondering how often they bring me pizza that has been at another random person's house for an unknown amount of time. The second issue is the handling of the mistake they made. Instead of sending us our order quickly and rectifying their mistake, they left it sitting on the counter for an additional hour before trying to fix the issue. Read moreI ordered at 4:48 pm for a scheduled order at 6:15pm to be delivered. Approximately 6:35 pm I called to find out the status of our order and they told me that it not only hadn’t left yet, but that they don’t know what time it would be delivered because the delivery person wasn’t back yet. They also said it had been prepared but not quality checked and they didn’t know why. When I asked for a manager, the person who answered the phone gave me to another team member who I suspect was not a manager because he couldn’t answer a single question I had. (Like what happened or if this could be made right). I began to actually film the interaction when I asked about receiving a refund and if I could receive some kind of confirmation to my email in case I didn’t receive my money back. During that time, not only could the person who said they were the manager not tell me if I could get confirmation information, but he wouldn’t give me his name so I could have a point of contact if something went wrong. After asking multiple times he finally said the name was Zaire. He was such a difficult person to speak with and incredibly rude, there’s no way he’d be promoted to a leadership role in any company. Read moreI placed an order relatively near closing time which I often don’t do, but other than Taco Bell and Waffle House, nothing else was open. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot the lights inside went off and a team member peeked around the corner. I pulled off to the other side of the parking lot and the lights immediately came on. Came by and honked my horn in frustration. As a PPJ employee, any order placed before the order closing time must be prepared regardless if the employee “feels like” prepping it or not. Additionally, turning the lights off to make a customer leave isn’t very proper.
