BLVD Steak — Restaurant in Calabasas

I had a comically bad dining experience. This place is an absolute mess of a restaurant. The service was incompetent. They were slow (waited about 20 min before being able to order), messed up my steak by overcooking it, had to recook it, the waiter ran into someone and the second steak was knocked on his shirt before it reached my table, handed me that steak on an oily plate after assuring me it didn’t touch the waiter’s shirt (gross), spilled peppercorn sauce all over our table, then charged me for two steaks instead of one and had to fix the bill. My wife and I were laughing about how silly this all was. The steak, the $88 bone in ribeye, for what it’s worth, even when it was eventually cooked somewhat correctly, wasn’t very good either. It was a very sinewy cut of meat.

I never write reviews, but I just have to say for those out there looking for a place to eat who aren’t at the point in life where a bad $250 meal for two is an amusing story and not the ruining of a special occasion, this place...

My wife, some friends, and I had dinner at BLVD Steak at the Commons on Friday evening, July 26, 2025. Our 6:00 PM reservation saw us arrive a little early, at 5:45 PM, and from the moment we stepped in until we left, the restaurant was absolutely packed. Despite the crowd, the level of service was truly remarkable. Every member of your team treated each table as if it were the only one they were attending to, going above and beyond to make patrons feel welcome. We were greeted at the door by a gentleman who opened it for us, and the hostesses at the check-in counter were incredibly kind. It was especially impressive to see you, the General Manager, front and center, personally welcoming guests upon arrival and thanking them as they departed. During our meal, the Assistant Manager introduced himself, inquired about our experience, and checked in multiple times to ensure everything was perfect. Food portions were generous. I had dinner at BLVD Steak in Calabasas with my husband, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Our server, Tasha, was amazing — she recommended the best meals, took care of us with such professionalism, and even brought the bill within a minute. All of the service was perfect from start to finish.

The food was outstanding — high quality, cooked to perfection, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is beautiful, stylish, and makes the whole evening feel special. Even the small details impressed us — we asked for salt, and the manager personally brought it over within 30 seconds.
