Chad, one of the co owners treats the employees like trash. I really hope Stellas addresses the issue promptly. The employees are all young kids and on a Saturday night they took breaks following a big rush and one of the employees texted Chad about almost being out of spoons. His response was to go and screen shot pictures of the employees on the security system and send it to EVERY stellas employee in one big text chat, to shame the girls for sitting in the back during their break. There are screen shots of his messages to the large group, and he was absolutely unprofessional and rude and I canāt understand how the stores are so successful if he has been with the company since the beginning. He fired one of the girls through text for standing up for herself, and also fired another girl that responded to the group chat in support of the girl. Chad then CALLED THE COPS on the 18 year old employee, because she didnāt leave the store quickly enough when he fired her through text. Other employees quit as well, following the incident. We live closer to the Nampa location and go almost every time we are in downtown Nampa, but honestly I wonāt be back any time soon. We came in around 5:30 pm- Our server was AWESOME, she didn't skimp on our ice cream and was super nice! All the tables in the lobby were wiped down, clean, and the chairs were pushed in. Behind the counter, it was also clean and tidy. We liked the dipped cones and appreciated that she had one of each flavor in each size (not a huge stack on the counter waiting, and getting stale). It was nice having options, while not feeling limited on sizes and knowing you were getting a fresh cone. Plus we didnāt have to wait to have one made and with the chocolate already being set, helped avoid any messes (again our server- she was awesome)
Love that this shop is family friendly-the store had clean music playing (which is unfortunately rare nowadays) and they have a stack of games, you can pick from to play. It made our experience fun and added to our night. They had some great flavors and looking forward to coming back to try their other limited-time flavors before they are gone! (though I do wish they had a timeline for seasonal flavors so you know about how much longer you have to try them- having it on their site or social media would be...

Also the owner replied to me saying something about them stealing, but when I posted his Answer they ( the children he hired) said that He was talking about them eating ice cream which When they got hired they got told they could. And also talking about the breaks they had. Which if I remember breaks arenāt stealing on time card. Also they commented he had minors working and A lot of times Forced them to work past curfew (9) them still being in school. Also they said that he would get mad over things in his own handbook when the Children tried to defend themselves using his handbook.
