While my husband and I have always enjoyed attending the Chili's location in Carson City, NV, we however were extremely disappointed with the location on Sunrise Blvd in Sacramento, CA that we attended around 4:00 PM this afternoon. While the food was excellent as usual, the service however was not! My husband and I, along with couples and families at other nearby tables, were being held captive and were unable to leave or get assistance with basic needs like our drinks and appetizer that we ordered before our meal. Why? Because the poor server was THE ONLY ONE on duty and THE ONLY ONE serving the majority of the guests in the restaurant?! Why? We honestly don't know. The tall boy who tried to serve all of us, who we were not properly introduced to, should be hugely awarded for instilling the best attitude despite such great adversity that he continually had to face with all the customers that he alone had to serve, including ourselves. Our drinks and appetizer finally arrived, but at the same time as our main meal!!! We were not able to leisurely enjoy our two glasses of water that we requested, along with the chips and guacamole that we also requested prior to the arrival of our food, like we have always been able to do so in the past at other Chili's locations, like the great location in Carson City! Instead, they brought out ALL our food, appetizer and drinks AT THE SAME TIME!! We were finally released from captivity--LOL-- thanks to the couple at a nearby table who had to get up, and get the manager to get our poor server to come back to assist all of us with our needs, and the malfunction of the machines on our respective tables, so we can pay our bill too. Plus, bring a box for our leftover food. This horrible experience truly made all of us feel like we were being held captive, because it took several hours to receive our drinks, appetizer food, assistance and be able to leave. Again, we do not blame our poor server, who was genuinely doing his very best with such adversity AND with the most positive attitude at that!! This same boy was amazing to watch, because he was hopping from table to table to table--with the most amazing personality--but by himself! He's the one who we truly felt sorry for. I did say the food was great,...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. Called at 5pm for call ahead seating, was told by the manager that they weren't busy at all as their parking lot has been closed all week. He advised is that arriving at 5:45, with a party of 7 (moms bday) we wouldn't have any issues. We got there and were seated, after ordering appetizers, drinks and our food we only received one of the two appetizers and she forgot a drink. It took her 20 minutes to come back so we could tell her. It then took another 25 minutes to receive the order of onion rings that were originally forgotten. After being there over an hour, with no food, finally our second appetizer and no drink refills we asked about the status of our food order. Another 30 minutes passes and our food finally comes out, luke warm. 1 hour and 45 minutes into our visit and finally Delivered food. My mother (who's birthday was being celebrated) had to leave minutes after her food got to the table because it took so long. We asked for a manger to express the issue. When we explained that we waited 2hrs in total to be served luke warm food and half the party had to leave he was very un interested. He blamed them getting busy because the parking lot had opened. He stated that we should have called ahead and they would have made sure to take care of us. We let him know that we had in fact called and spoken to him 45 minutes prior to our arrival at which point we were told not to worry, they wouldn't be busy. He continued to blame the wait on their parking lot just opening after being closed all day. Worst service, ridiculous wait, a manager who obviously doesn't care about the happiness of his patrons and $135 wasted. Not to mention my mom didn't even get to eat. In two hours, every table around us arrived after us, was served before us and left before us. After visiting this Chili's frequently over the past 4 years, my family will no...
Read moreThe Sunrise location has really gone downhill. We went in at 11:30 to sticky tables/menus and a grimy ziosk. The staff were wearing street clothes, which is fine if they look clean...not so much. Our queso came out water consistency with it smeared all over the handle and tray the pan rests on. Our food looked equally pleasant, the quesadillas were totally dried out like they had been reheated, and they were missing their sauces, my soup was cold and the cheese on top was unmelted. The waitress didn't visit our table again until the end of our stay even though the resataurant was almost empty. I guess I didn't need a drink refill to choke down my stale food. When she asked how our food was, I mentioned the queso, because it was the worst issue. She said that was the way it comes from the manufacturer in a big tub and they just re-heat it. 😬 She disappeared and out came what I guess was a manager, wouldn't know because again, attire like she rolled out of bed and figured she'd come in to work. She gave the same innapropriate excuse that for some reason it is now coming that way, guess it wasn't important for her to find out why people were getting what looks like diarrhea to put on their chips, and she so generously wouldn't charge us. Ugh. Checked out on the dirty ziosk. Went home had upset stomachs for the next couple days....
