They have an incredible 20% off deal before 4 PM but even without these deals, they have quite affordable prices for both their sushi and bento boxes! The space is quite cozy with a main room and a side room that has a separate detached AC unit; however, note that it can become quite hot during the summers. Their menu is expansive and ordering a sushi roll can be quite daunting given the number of options. We chose the Sakura Ilsand given that it is wrapped in cucumber instead of rice and was a nice change of pace! The staff are very friendly and continuously checked up on us. The only complaint I would make (but I'm not sure if this is the restaurant's fault) is that the water had a weird detergent-like aftertaste.

Wow, didn't expect to love the sushi so much and be able to afford what felt like a lavish meal. We only ordered one roll at first but gobbled it right up so we got two more immediately. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented not to mention delicious. We had room for dessert and I'm so glad we got to have some tempura ice cream, it was great. At first it seemed like the service was a little haphazard because two different people kept coming over to ask us if we wanted anything else, but it just ended up feeling like we were very well taken care of. Can't wait to go back!

This place used to be my go to. But I’d rather get some rolls from Raley’s or Safeway. Way too much rice on their specialty rolls so it’s basically all rice, very little seafood. And the winding dragon had very sad slices of fish on top of the roll(the roll on the left) This place used to have wonderful sushi, and now it’s just sad. Plus when I picked up the food the interior of the restaurant smelled really weird, which is probably why everyone eating in was seated outside. I seriously believe that none of their chefs have ever truly learned how to make sushi

Can't say enough great things about this restaurant and our server Marty!! My friend and I hadn't caught up in a while, we both wanted sushi and didn’t have a “spot” in the area we were in. Checked Yelp and Google, and based on reviews, we chose Sushimono! We were so thankful we found it, (not that it was hard to locate, just that we found somewhere close). They did not disappoint! We walked in and although the place was more intimate than others I’ve been to, it actually made it “feel” more quaint and comfortable. We were greeted immediately and asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. We chose outside. I was surprised it wasn’t an open area, more like another room, but the sun shined through nicely. That’s how we started our great experience We were greeted by our server Marty, and he was fantastic, quick with getting our beers, and then checking on us through our meal, in case we needed anything. My friend and I spent at least an hour and a half there, ordering more dishes as we would finish one. Marty was so attentive and accommodating, that I wouldn’t have wanted any other server. He was knowledgeable, had great suggestions, and was just a mature server that knew his craft. Well done! There were a couple of parties there, enjoying their time also. There was some nice laid back music playing overhead. It was low enough that it didn’t interfere with our ability to have a conversation, without straining to hear each other, which is always a plus, lol. Ambience is half of the experience when we go to sushi, and Marty made sure we were happy the ENTIRE time! At first we ordered appetizers and a couple of beers. The spiced edamame was a perfect start. We also had sashimi, tuna, a rainbow roll, and a few other items I can’t recall. Basically, we kept Marty busy and kept eating, lol. Everything was flavorful and FRESH! Upon leaving, and thanking Marty for his wonderful service, he even took the time to thank us for being great customers. How nice! When we got the bill, my friend and I were in shock! We expected to pay a LOT more than we did. We both looked at each other like maybe he forgot to put something on the bill. Nope! Their prices are amazing! I love a couple of other sushi joints in town I frequent, but this is by far my new favorite. We ate so much, and walked out smiling. Good fresh sushi, is hard to find at these prices. I’ll definitely be back. They may even get to know my name. lol Sushimono and Marty are my new favorite sushi experience! Thank you for the amazing food and...

I don't get this whole 50% off gimmick. I've noticed that other spots do this as well. I say, just price things that they should be and offer a buy-one-get-one free coupon for a limited time. It would endear me to return again knowing that I would have to pay full price.

Located in the spot of the former Carmita (sorry to see them go), there is outdoor seating which is a great addition. They are also open late and have a happy hour special after 8:00 pm, any beer is $2 if you spend $10 on food.

I ordered rainbow roll - which is not on the menu, but you can request it. I think it was $16 or so, but then you get the 50% off, so it's $8. Personally, I found it a little lacking size-wise, but the fish was fresh. I would not pay $16 for it normally though. They also have bento boxes for $16 and at $8, I found that to be a good deal. I had the pork katsu, it was a little tough and extra crispy. The tempura was okay. It is difficult to do tempura broccoli as it tends to be mushy and this was no exception.

Ambiance-wise, if you're like me and clueless about the "latest hits" you can catch up on all your Top 40 tunes here. It was nonstop and loud. There are tables throughout and a flatscreen TV, but I forgot what was on the TV.

Service was attentive and efficient. Our food was running a bit behind and they gave us a complimentary dish of edamame which was a nice touch.

I could see myself returning here and getting the bento boxes, which tend to fill you up more for the same price as a sushi roll AND you still get...

The food was okay. Service was horrible for the expensive price. Probably not coming back unless I was forced to.

We come in, we are greeted and sat in very close range of the other tables. The whole restaurant had like five or six tables squashed together in a small patio room with two or three tables in the actual restaurant. We sat down, asked if we wanted ice water. We said yes and the server walked away. We sat, waiting for our waters. And kept waiting... And waiting. Another guy came by asking if we wanted soda. Maybe that'll come out faster so we did. After a few minutes he brought them out ... Along with our ice water 😑. He brought out my friends beer and my kids dr pepper. I said hold up, where's my Dr pepper with no ice and my friends kids sprite. Mind you this boy had a salty little attitude on him. He walked away and came back with the rest of the drinks after we ordered. Just fyi, their menu is extremely messy, looks like a damn monopoly board. We sat and enjoyed our drinks for a tiny bit while watching everyone else who got to the restaurant after us, get their food. Then our food came. ONE Kids bento box, sushi rolls, our appetizers we ordered 😑 and my hand rolls and the California rolls along with THREE chopsticks. We said hold up, where's the other kids bento box. We ordered TWO kids bento box and only got one. Salty dude left again and my kid ate her box while the other kid just picked at the California roll. Finally after a bit the bento came out, didn't even come with a fork. I did not...
