UPDATED!!! MOST RECENT REVIEW AT BOTTOM
OLD REVIEW: Ive been coming this location fairly consistently over the past 6 months. They carry a really good craft beer selection, its a great place to catch the games and avoid huge BWW sized crowds (go bears!). The workers have always been friendly and attentive to my needs. The restaurant has some pretty out of the box wing flavors (in a good way). Shout out to an employee by the name of Cameron, A+ customer service and great recommendations on the beer.
Now for my criticisms! Its always SO warm inside, I know they had some issues with the A/C about a month back but the issue with the inside temperature has remained since then Hopefully they get this fixed/addressed soon, or they might as well start advertising this place as a sauna. That alone is why im giving this review a 4/5. Beyond the A/C issue, I wish they had a spicier sauce, the fire sauce ranks as a medium in my opinion. Also, please bring back the jalapeno coins!
Overall, I would recommend coming here!
NEW REVIEW (4/6/22, 1204 hours): So it had been over a year since I have been to this location. Judging from my experience today and recent reviews from others, it seems like there has been a fall from grace.
I entered the establishment at approximately 1135, found a seat at the end of the bar and waited to be greeted. I first noticed what once used to be an oasis for craft beer drinkers had turned into a sad shadow of its former self. The fridges near the many vacant taps were empty. Not a single bottle or can. It now appears this area is used for storing dressing.
Out of the twenty beer taps, only seven appeared to be in use.
Eventually ten minutes had passed. Despite two young employees (one male, one female) walking near/by me, I was not greeted or even acknowledged with eye contact.
Once it became apparent I was not going to be served at the bar, I took initiative and made contact with the female I had observed earlier at the front counter, near the cash registers.
I advised the female employee I wished to purchase a beer and was not sure if I could order at the bar or needed to order at the cash register.
She stated I could purchase my beer at the register and thought I had been taken care of already.
I purchased a beer and inquired about the non existent selection of craft beer. She was unable to provide an informative explanation. It seemed like she didn't really know.
I returned to the bar and enjoyed my beer. Once finished, I placed the empty pint glass in front of me, where it stayed for the remainder of my visit (approximately 30 minutes). I was not again acknowledged.
While the female I had spoke with earlier was friendly during our brief conversation, the overall customer service experience was very lacking.
I did not purchase food while I was there as I was not hungry. I am unable to give an update on this area of the business.
Long story short: this appears to be a completely different business since my last visit. Long gone are the friendly faces, good customer service and amazing selection of craft beer.
What once was a 4 star review is now a 2 star review. Hopefully this place can turn it around a return to its...
Read moreMy boyfriend asks me to pick up wings for him from here pretty often. I always get two separate orders (one to take to him at work and one to bring home.) It's usually a 30 to 45 minute wait, so I usually order a beer or two while I wait.
Today I called in my two orders. I was very clear that I will be paying for the orders separately and that I need them bagged separately. This usually is not a problem. The girl on the phone said that I will receive a text message when my order is ready. This is the usual routine also.
I arrived 15 minutes later, thinking that I would have time for a beer while I wait. I went to the register to pay for my 2 orders and a beer which she told me would total $61.54. I reminded her that I wanted this split into 2 orders which caused some obvious confusion.
After the 2nd girl came over to help her split the check, I tried to pay with a $100 dollar bill. At this time, I was told that they cannot take 100s for orders under $50. Paying with a $100 dollar bill is usually not a problem. I reminded her that the total for both orders was over $60 just a few minutes go. She said "Sorry, it's a split check, and both orders are under $50. I told you already, I cannot accept a $100 dollar bill for orders under $50."
So I got in my car, went across the street to Trader Joe's, and purchased a $1.79 chocolate bar and an $8.99, 6 pack of beer. They had no problem making change for my $100 dollar bill, and treated me kindly with a smile.
When I returned to Fire Wings, I still had not received the usual text saying that my order is ready. So I waited in the car, since I no longer wanted a beer. After about 15 minutes, I still had not received a text so I went inside to check on my 2 orders and pay.
My order was ready. I pointed out that I had not received the text. She responded that I must have given them a wrong number. I paid for the 2 orders, and then she brought over a single bag. I asked her if I could have the 2 orders bagged separately (which usually is not a problem.) She exhaled deeply, rolled her eyes, and responded, "I better be getting a good tip for this." Then proceeded to separate my two orders.
While she was separating the orders, I noticed on one of my receipts, that I was still charged for a $6 beer. I asked if I could be refunded for the beer since I would not be having a drink during this visit. She said that they already poured it about 30 minutes ago, and that once it's poured it's too late for it to be refunded.
Needless to say, this will be my last visit to Fire Wings. They really need to work on their...
Read moreSave your $ don't come here. This place went downhill fast. Came last night and tried a chicken sandwich combo & wings to share. The girl behind the counter suggests hot for the sandwich (in her words "cause you really don't taste it until hot or extra hot") this came out a strange black color we tried to dissect the sandwich after taking 1 bite to find the meat. It was all breading overpriced & over spiced. In fairness we ordered what she suggested but even after the fact of the heat level being insane the chicken itself was allegedly a thigh. It's so hard to make a thigh not juicy. But they found a way. Also barely any meat to this thing. We sent it back asked for a regular one. Onto the wings..drowned in sauce & spice the lemon pepper was so salty they were inedible. We both tried 1 and said nope. Also overcooked. Korean style sauce looked like it had been served with a cup of sauce dumped into the basket. After another 15 min we were full of fries & the soda it took to tey & get the heat out. We asked the girl working about the food. She said that some people like that much sauce n ask for it like that. Sure I said. But we didn't ask for extra sauce or seasoning ..asked for the manager cause $ 34 for inedible food is alot. They took so long coming over we finally left. We didn't have all night. So bad service bad food & no I won't go back again. Bummer cause they were a decent go to for a late...
