IHOP — Restaurant in California

I went to this place at 3 am on a Tursday. Neighboring places like McDonald’s and other places looked open but unfortunately weren’t. I walked in and sat myself even tho it says wait for seating. I was the only customer in and it was only a server and a cook working this late. The server was very kind friendly and was very informative, when I asked for coffee to drink she informed me a fresh pot was going to be made and it made me appreciate this place more. Flipping through the menu made me frown once more as the prices seemed a bit higher then Dennys. The menu was colorful with it being the fall/wonder menu but has “Let’s Put a Smile On Your Plate” which to me feels like my morning pills which are hard to swalllow. The syrups were decently filled with the Strawberry being topped off and particularly full. The coffee was a bit overfilled but after bringing it up with the Server she was more then happy to put it in a bigger to-go cup that left me lots of room for creamer. I recieved my food and it was amazing. The burrito was good as well as the hash browns. Unfortunately when I picked up the other half I found a piece of hair on it and it took me a while to get the Waiter’s attention as a few other customers came in. She took it off my bill and my review still remains 5 starts for the excellent...

Our experience was wonderful. Shawn, the manager, greeted us upon entering & had us choose a seat anywhere we liked. He was welcoming & gracious. He brought us coffee & said Elijah would be around in a moment to take our orders. Shortly thereafter, Elijah arrived with a warm smile & lovely efficient manner. We inquired about the conversion from writing orders to entering them on a hand held computer. He was personable & had an infectious laugh as he related the change, his experience & how the process works. He remained attentive & engaged throughout our meal. We asked for boxes to take home leftovers. He returned with two & showed us how they fit. Later, he brought a bag to carry them. There were only 2-3 other tables at the time we were present. It made for a relaxed & enjoyable meal. Shawn stopped by as we were about to leave to ask about the service. We said it was great & Elijah is the best. It's been a long while since we encountered individuals so naturally attentive & caring in a restaurant. The bathrooms were impeccably clean. Many thanks, Shawn & Elijah. Horrible dinning experience, I asked for a vat of coffee, the waitress came back with a vat that had an orange lid , we always thought that color meant decafe, I explained that I didnt want decafe, the waitress said "its not decafe, we just ran out of regular vats", I tasted the coffee and Yes, It was decafe, the waitress then argued profusely with me, I finally asked for the manager , before the manager got their I stoped another waiter and asked him excuse me sir ? "do you ever run out of regular coffee vats then use decafe, vats for your regular coffee"? He said ma'am that would never happen, no ma'am, We kindly thanked the man. My husband and I are coffee drinkers as a coffee drinker A COFFEE DRINKER KNOWZ WHAT CAFFINE, AND DECAFE TASTE LIKE.lol.The manager came we told him what happend,. He apologised the manager sent over another waitress. Heres the real kicker, about 2 months earlier at another local IHOP, the almost exact same situation happend with an almost same look alike waitress , I'm going to bring race into this only because in both cases the women was white in her mid 50's very insistent and rude , smug as though she didnt care that she causes upset to customers and tell open faced lies.
