I placed a large order including a family meal and some additional items including the creme-filled churros. We enjoyed our food (even though the tacos were all broken because they put all of the burritos on top of the tacos) and when it came time to enjoy our sweet treat I noticed the churros didn't have any cinnamon or sugar on them. Since our order was large and they were busy I figured I would call and see if we could come back to get the churros made correctly. The employee who answered the phone had to place me on hold but when they were able to help me they apologized for the mistake and placed me on hold to discuss with the manager. The manager gets on the phone and says oh, the creme-filled churros don't have sugar unless you request it. I said, that's strange your picture online shows them with the cinnamon and sugar. He said - oh, sorry about that and quickly says well you have a good day and he hung up. It was poor customer service on the part of the manager. I'll take my business elsewhere. Seems like a small issue that he could have easily fixed but he...
Read moreOverall, I like Jimboys. The food is good, not what I'd consider authentic or traditional, but it's unique in a saturated market of Northern Mexican style cuisine. The prices are a bit high in my opinion, but not at deal-breaking levels or anything.
This review, though, is specific to this location. It's the closest to my house though so when the girlfriend craves Jimboys, this is where I go. The service at this one is less than stellar, for sure. I've yet to have an experience that I would rate above standard. Staff seem to always be crazy busy and generally annoyed by everything even when I'm literally the only one in there. Orders have been wrong on a number of occasions. Twice I've gotten home and the food was just bad. Soggy tacos, totally bland or hyper-sweetened horchata, sloppy presentation, etc.
If you're dying for Jimboys, for whatever reason, and can't get to another location, this one suffices. However, I would go elsewhere if at...
Read moreUgh! I have been going to this Jimboy's for many years and have always loved their food. Well today I went and ordered 3 tacos a baby bean burrito and a beef burrito. When I got home and looked at my order I could not believe what was in it. My tacos were pretty much uncooked and fell apart when we tried to eat them. My burritos were loaded with sour cream, olives, tomatoes and guacamole. Uck!!! they were the worst tasting burritos and we could not eat them. Also we were charged 99 cents twice for tomatoes that we never asked for. I was very shocked and upset but we live too far away to go back and complain. I paid &16.00 for this and could not eat it. The lady at the register did not speak very good English and I don't think she understood my order. Not a good thing. I will not return to this Jimboy's . It was a very costly mistake and not one I...
