Management and many of the staff members show racism. My husband and Myself decided to have family time, however we paid for the family meal and added additional items on the side which came up to almost $100...I was told I could not get any salad because just like the games it is sold separately...it makes no sense because it was only salad in the salad bar with a couple trimmings, my husband had to go back and pay over $10.00 just for 1 small plate of salad while other customers whom was other races was given the opportunity to have the waitress bring a free salad plate for them to eat the all you can eat salad. During our stay the manager decided to have this employees keep an eye on us like we were thieves during our whole visit. My family have been visiting Shakey's pizza parlor for many years, since my mother was younger and it have changed completely...it's terrible because it is a wonderful family place, however they need staff who truly care. Management was too busy standing over each team member while the prep, cook, and make the orders, as well as standing over the cashiers...Many of the games kept running out of tickets and when I informed the manager he seem to not care, it took him over 30mins just to have someone come and fix the games....Many customers had the same issue with the games. But only the black African Americans suffered racism...the funny part about it is my husband is extremely bright skinned so he actually was treated differently until he came and sat down at...
Read moreSo when I went there I had a good experience since I’ve been on the other side of the register before, I know what good service is like and what expectations need to be met for the customer. The Person who greeted me was very friendly, I managed to get her name. Jessica Ibarra was the cashier present. She actually made me feel very welcome and had this positive energy. She was very helpful too, explain the menu very well as well according to my budget for the night she fixed the order up so I can purchase everything in a fair way for the price. She answered all my questions and she actually went above and beyond, which I appreciate. It doesn’t say how she is as a worker but it said a lot about how she is as a person. Even if she is getting paid she didn’t had to go out of her way, but she chose to do other wise and made my experience very satisfying. This girl deserves a raise or an appreciation recognition. She kept it very professional and my order was turned in correctly and in proper timing . I haven’t had shakeys in year. But I’m glad I chose that location,...
Read moreToday was the first time that I came to Shakey's since the closure due to Covid-19. I am very understanding regarding the circumstance. There is social distancing and everything is clean. As of now what Shakey's is doing is giving the food on plastic plates & being served by the employees. This would be the "new normal" but I came to eat buffet with my wife. The experience was definitely different and once again, I know it had to change because of what's going on. They do not let customers get drinks nor a refill. I paid 1.99 for a 20 oz drink. I would assume I'd get at least one refill but no. I think they don't want it to be a high contact area but they have more employees that could be giving drinks. I feel that one drink isn't enough when i am paying for a "buffet" and eating more than one plate. It be good if they gave 2 liter soda for the customers since they don't want to do the refills. If I could, I would of brought my 2 liter soda for the same price. It just wasn't the same and Shakeys didn't make...
