Starbucks RSD, a place where joy goes to die... Literally the coldest, most unwelcoming environment I've ever set foot in. I approach the counter, nobody is running it. A gal walks up and I greet her, she mumbles under her breath that she'll be with me in a minute. Shortly following another girl comes up to take my order. No greeting, no thank you - nothing. Then it comes time to pay, she tells me "it'll ask you to do something", motions to the card reader, and walks away without a word, never to return. I was left standing at the register, the card reading still showing "please wait/processing" something to that effect. So I waited....and waited...finally a couple minutes later I finally grab her attention (when she walked away she just started doing other tasks, completely ignoring the fact that I was still standing there) and she just nodded that I could walk away. The entire store was silent as a tomb, everyone working there gave off the air that they were either too cool to be bothered to actually help anyone, or they should all be put on suicide watch. Seriously, I left there feeling just gross, like what the heck just happened in there?? Heaven forbid corporate ever sends a secret shopper in there, that entire crew would be looking for new jobs. Staff and management should all be ashamed.
For context, this happened the morning of...
Read moreMany of us put in our orders TO GO if we’re in a hurry on our way to work. I understand that the lobby had to be closed due to flooding at this location which is totally fine, but you should definitely turn off your order ahead status on the app.. I ordered 20 minutes prior to arriving at the location and now I’ve been sitting in the line for 25 minutes. Additionally, when i FINALLLY got to the window, I mentioned that it might be helpful to turn off the pick up status on the app so another customer doesn’t find themselves in the same frustrating pickle I did this morning, but the barista immediately got defensive, made a snarky reply back, and was not receptive to my feedback - which was NOT a personal attack. I was scared to even get to the window to get my order because was clear he has taken it as one. Connor, thanks for being the only rude Starbucks barista I’ve ever met in my whole life. Fr. From LA to Catalina to SD. Great latte though 10/10.
And authors note: It’s possible that Connor could’ve taken my tone as ‘snarky’ too. At the end of the day, I was just trying to help others avoid my same fate & while I do feel like it is your responsibility to not be argumentative behind the counter and opt for problem solving, I know you guys must go through a lot, stay very busy, and your job isn’t easy. Connor was very nice at the window....
Read moreI’m a Starbucks addict. I drink o e to two Starbucks drink per day. So far I can say that this is the WORST location I’ve been to. The sad part is that this’s the closest to my house. I love the energetic and positive vibes that Starbucks employees have. However, every time I stop by this location, I feel like I’m the one that’s serving them and providing them with the good customer service and trying to make them satisfied. Today I ordered strawberry açaí with lemonade. It literally tasted like water ( no kidding). I felt like I just reached my limited and I had to say something, so I drove back and went down to the store and told the lady ( I guess she’s the manager) that my drink tasted like water only no other flavor. She took my cup and supposedly fixed it and handed back to me. Guess what! I told her “thank you so much” with a smile and she didn’t even reply. The shocking part is that my drink still tasted like flavorless water. I feel like this location will make me quit...
