Steve's Pizza - Elk Grove Waterman — Restaurant in California

Came in on 1.1.24 to pick up my mom a pizza for her & I to split.

I had not eaten at the new location here and it was my first time in.

I was definitely taken back by their prices to start and decided that a 12" pizza was fine for 2 people to share. I ordered the Steve's pizza and when I came back in after 20min to pick up the pizza I opened the pizza box to check it. Looked at the pizza confused, looked at the menu confused then told the gal "this isn't a Steves" she proceeds to tell me I ordered an All Meat. I let her know I absolutely did not. Because I would never want a pizza without veggies. She proceeds to argue with me telling me I ordered the wrong pizza and I could buy another one!!! I asked her a receipt since I never received anything as I wanted to see what she rang in. She gives me a receipt. I scoff because now I'm also seeing I paid almost $30 for a 12" pizza that wasn't even what I asked for & for a pizza that had about as many toppings as a frozen pizza.

Horrible experience, mediocre pizza, skimpy toppings, rude service and over priced.

Will definitely be sticking to OTP! Better service, pizza, toppings and price.

The girl should have acknowledged she made a mistake and remade the pizza...

Edit Below Can't review the food as they won't accept my Steve's gift cards. "We don't have the ability to process gift cards." Then don't sell gift cards. And I'm not driving to Sacramento or Folsom. What a waste.

Overall: 1 star. Consider this a gift and major compromise. 1 star because zero stars doesn't say anything. 1 star because maybe their other locations have their act together.

Food: 0 stars. Has to be a reason they don't want my money.

Service: 0 star. The indifference of the employee makes 1 star to be a gift. "Sorry we don't accept Steve's gift cards at Steve's."

Atmosphere: 0 stars. The atmosphere was horrible the moment we walked in the door. Made to feel like unwanted outsiders. We never made it past the front counter.

*Edit: Thanks for the response but you know gift cards can't be redeemed at any place other than Steve's... Especially when they're purchased at Costco.

And we're not driving to Sacramento or Folsom when they were purchased because you're in Elk Grove. Just down the road from us.

Pizza is alright, but skimpy on the toppings for the cost. Service was friendly, but the guy kept saying "okay, one second please," which is fine....but I almost started to think I had one of the Impractical Jokers on the other end of the phone. Location appeared clean and well put-together. However, I feel like I can get better pizza for the price. I would go back to...
