Super Tom's Burgers — Restaurant in California

A coworker from out of town asked me where she could get a good “burger stand” burger. “You know, the kind that comes in a paper bag w grease on it from the fries? A mom n pop place...” Well this is it! (Minus the greasy bag. They use bigger plastic bags because a little paper bag wdnt hold all the food they give you!).

So I did a little research. ‘Cause I’ve been searching for the same thing without having to drive to E.B. I remembered seeing this place recently. Google to the rescue. “Burger stand Rosedale” = Super Toms

I went to pick up food for my coworkers & we’ve been in love since. (I’ve also gone myself several times since. Always good!)

This was the verdict:

•Cheeseburger-“this is EXACTLY what I was craving!”

•Club sandwich- “bomb!” (Too busy eating to comment further)

•Pastrami sandwich-“omg! This is sooo good!”

•RANCH DRESSING- “they have the BEST Ranch!!!”

•Fried zucchini- (it costs a bit, but worth it!) They’re cut about the same shape & size as French fries. Giving you more surface area for crunchy deep fried goodness, compared to the giant zucchini logs at other places. (& these are cooked all the way through!). I ordered these instead of fries. The portion was so big, it came in its own foam container.

Staff is always very friendly & helpful.

This place just wasn't for me. The service was kinda slow, but not horrible. We were the third car in the drive thru and it took about 10 minutes. Definitely NOT "The best charbroiled burger in town" as their sign indicates. The food was very underwhelming and extremely expensive in my opinion. Two burgers (Toms Best Burger and the Colossal Burger), two fries, a drink and a milkshake was over $40. The burger was ok at best, might have been better if it wasn't cold by the time I got home 3 miles away and the milkshake was almost water. The star of the show was the french fries, I thought the fries were good (maybe because they were hot), but not good enough for me to go back, especially at that price. I think there are much better options to...

I’ve only been here about 3 times and the food is always pretty good. There is a couple things they should work on that is 1, fix that big ass hole in yr driveway , that’s definitely in a bad spot . 2 , I watched the cook handle my food with no gloves on at all , that’s not sanitary, I get it!! a lot of people don’t like to wear them but when you’re handling someone’s food you should wear them regardless, and I don’t care how good your ranch is shame on you for charging a dollar for a small cup that’s crazy!!
