My 1 star is for the service. I took my 2 daughters here for breakfast one morning while doing some Christmas shopping. We were on this side of town and had been wanting to try this place so we did and again my star is only for the friendly service and the fact the food didnt suck. We knew this was a waffle restaurant but go ahead and try to find an all American waffle breakfast with eggs some kind of salty smokey meat potatoes or fruit on the menu. Well you wont find it because it's not on the menu. Our waitress could tell we were a bit unsure as to what to order so she informed us there was a breakfast called an old school and that it wasn't on the menu it was 2 mini waffles eggs potatoes your choice of meat or fruit. Now you're speaking our language. We each order the "Old School". So the breakfast comes out and the food is fine but one of my daughters asked if we ordered kids meals. I then realized how mini the waffles were. I had a baby food jar with about 2 and a half tablespoons of potatoes in it and 2 slices of bacon broken into 4 pieces. The check came and it was about 50 bucks! This included the one orange juice we ordered. Needless to say that 3 kids meals and an orange juice is not worth the money. This is obviously a gimmicky attempt at fixing something that isnt broken. The other menu items may be awesome but you have to do something that makes people want to come back and this just doesn't make me want to. There are some "old School breakfast places in town that just get it right every time and they aren't just the big name places that you automatically think about for breakfast but local businesses people want to go back to after just one visit. Places like Mel Dogs, Stagecoach, and The Barn. Great food good service fairly priced nice portions and Good waffles. Maybe the owner should check these places out. People just dont like...

went during the week around 1:00 pm to try this place. 2 tables already seated and 10 people are standing waiting to be seated while there were 3 servers working. waited 10 min to sit and was already wanting to walk out due to the time it took them to seat 3 of us in an almost empty restaurant.
Ordered 3 different plates. The waitress was super nice and knowledgeable.
50 min later, our food is still not ready. there was a group of 6 people that came before us and got seated so we were next in line to get our food. the cook was taking his sweet time into making the food. most of the time the TVs that display the cook section and what he is doing had no activity on it. not sure if they didn't want to work didn't care. 55 min arrive and i informed the waitress that we do have to leave and cant wait any longer, so she suggested we take our food to go. after rejecting her idea nicely, the manager came apologetic and promised to have our food in 5 min. i get my waffle with the pork belly cold. waited 10 min to get the other 2 orders for my friends. the meat on another order was as cold as my pork. the manager even touched our food and was shocked how cold it was.
Had to eat it cold since we were starving at that point and in a rush to leave.
Manager promised that it was a fluke and it will never happen again and gave us a credit to use. We used it to pay the bill and i guess the bill exceeded the credit by 56 cents, so the waitress came back telling us that she will have to clear it with the manager if she can cover that fee.
Prices are to expensive. not sure why they charge that high given the food is easy to prepare and not a fancy restaurant.
If i was to try it again, it might be a different location since i didn't like the management and their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered the Egg Benedict and it only comes with one egg. I don't mind paying $15 for an Egg Benedict dish, but I would expect at least two eggs. The poached egg was overcooked because the egg yolk wasn't runny like an Egg Benedict should be--it was more of a soft boiled egg on top of two Canadian bacons and one large, elongated English muffin. The hollandaise sauce wasn't hot, not even warm; it came out cold (but the rest of the food was luke warm, not hot). To say the least, the Egg Benedict was a disappointment for the higher price.
But it's not all bad here.
My wife ordered the Chicken and Waffles and they turned out great. The host and servers were very friendly and attentive. The interior is clean and the wall decor is fun to read and look at. The outdoor patio is welcoming when the weather is nice outside.
The Bloody Mary with the BLT slider, bacon, and pork belly was delicious and has a good kick of alcohol in it ($19 for the Bloody Mary drink with those three add-on's mentioned, and $23 for an extra shot of alcohol in it). Pricy but the fully-loaded Bloody Mary is worth it in my opinion, only if you want a small bite/appetizer to eat without ordering a full meal with your alcoholic drink. Otherwise, just order the regular Bloody Mary without the extras if you don't want to pack the add-ons to-go.
All in all, I'm hoping their other dishes are better and I just had a one-off with my Egg Benedict. I'll update my review should I give it another try later down the road. But for $70 (tips included) for brunch for 2, that's pretty pricey for only one egg on my Egg...
