Wongz Donutz — Restaurant in California

I was traveling through and had a taste for a donut. But not just any donut. Something that wasn't too heavy, greasy, and overly sugary. After searching for various shops, I saw this one. It was a good ways from where I was from, but I had the time and figured why not? I was sold on the pictures of the vegan donuts and other reviews. Well, had the glaze and blueberry and I am impressed. I'm not a vegan by any stretch of the imagination, but I prefer vegan donuts because they aren't typically as greasy and don't taste as unhealthy, while still providing good flavor. I used to only get them at Wholefood's, but these are definitely the best vegan donuts I've had. And some of the best donuts I've had period. You can't really tell they are vegan by taste. So this place has only been open a week and the reviews are in! They are a gourmet donut shop that have come up with some incredible flavors and combinations. From the original "Kronut" to the maple bacon comma I hear tell that some of the donutz are too big for one hand. There's also a rumor that if you come up with a combination that is unique and as adopted by the shop, it will be named after you. I wanted to give only 1 star, but the staff and cleanliness bumped them up to 2 stars. The shop was amazingly clean and the staff were friendly and nice. But $2 for one donut is to much. $22 for a dozen is outrageous (get 1 free if you order a dozen). And they only do specialty donuts which is cool but none of the donuts were under the correct label when I went. There are better shops in town with regular donuts that are less expensive. And the donuts tasted average. Nothing special tasting about them.
