If I could give a GIANT MINUS for customer service, this particular Dennys, in Calimesa, CA would get it!!! Though I live in the area and I enjoy Dennys Restaurants very much, I usually go to any other Dennys than Calimesa because For the 20 years that I have been near the Calimesa Dennys and every single time their servers are the most arrogant and slow. Usually only 1 or 2 even on the floor. I had not been to the Calimesa Dennys in probably 4 or 5 years, instead I prefer to go 15 miles away to Redlands, Ca. Just to receive decent service! So, today, I decided to try Calimesa, and What a waste of my money! I ordered the two pancakes and a side of two scrambled eggs with coffee. After a good wait, I received the two pancakes and coffee but never received the eggs. The waiter kept busy with all the other customers and never came back to check on me. Finally after my pancakes were getting cold I waved him down and told him I was still waiting on the eggs and a refill of coffee. Again, another too long wait and I asked again. Finally, when he was done with other customers, I received Luke warm eggs and the refill! All I can say, is thank you for the Refill! Good management understands that customers usually eat out to enjoy the service! This particular Denny's Manager and Servers have a lot to learn about customer service. Also, this particular Dennys is located next to a major freeway with little competition, out in the middle of wide open spaces and that is the only reason they continue to survive there. I am very certain that due to the inferior customer service, many customers don't stop there...
Read moreThey need to get their stuff together. It's Sunday night, they have like 8 or 9 booths that they have closed off, don't know why. Place is PACKED. Someone takes our drink order which is 2 ice waters with lemon, a coffee and a peanut butter chocolate shake. A few minutes later someone else, that we then learn is actually our waitress, asks us for our drink order. We explain that we had already ordered our drinks. She comes back with our 2 waters but no lemon, so we ask for lemon again. She brings back one tiny lemon wedge so we explain to her that both waters were ordered with lemon so we will need at least one more wedge. (Stingy much?) We then order our food with her. We look across the room to see the couple that was seated at least 5 minutes after we were are being served coffee and we still have not received the one we ordered. So we ask yet another person working if we can please get our coffee. It was then that we realized that no one in here communicates with each other. The first guy should not have taken our drink order if he was not going to get it for us or in the very least, tell our waitress what our order is. At this point, we decided to go ahead and call it quits before this train wreck got any worse....
Read moreI received an emailed coupon for Denny’s for new years so my family and i decided to go today. The service was decent, not great. The food was good, but not like it used to be and definitely not worth the smaller portions and higher prices. We spent a little over $51 dollars on 2 adult breakfast meals & 1 kids meal. I was extremely disappointed that I was not able to use my coupon as that’s the whole reason we decided to go in the first place. When we got to the counter to pay i showed the cashier my code and he seemed annoyed and tried to brush us off as quickly as he could to get us out the door. There was only 1 person behind us, and they got there midway of us checking out. The cashier insisted that this particular dennys location was not capable of honoring the coupon simply because they didn’t have the updated technology! What!? We live in 2025, I don’t understand how this is a problem that cannot be accommodated to say the least. I mean their company put out this coupon I’m sure they could have found a way to honor it or at least amused us and apologized for the inconvenience or offered a free coffee to go…. Very disappointing. It’s the principle more...
