I want to start out saying that Maria was friendly, which is why I rated 2 stars. I am being generous.
However, she did not honor the Groupon that says, “ we’ll pour you some wine, free gifts in hand. etc.” No obligation, no need to buy. So, if that’s the case, why did I have to pay for tastings??
I inquired and showed her my Groupon, and she said it’s just marketing. I appreciate her honesty, but it’s misleading and considered false advertisement. See verbiage below. I would have expected for Maria to pour me some wine without purchase. That did not happen. And she did NOT go the extra mile.
See Groupon verbiage below:

Also, Maria didn’t share the story for this winery as mentioned by others in their reviews.
She spent a lot of time with a 2 party by the robot.
The pouring didn’t seem to be 2 ounces, but less than. I paid for 3 tastings and a modest tip that I felt some kind of way about. It was about $118.00, and I had to ask for our wine openers.
I drive all the way to Calistoga to visit this winery because I loved the decor from the pics online.
I did appreciate the recommendation to the Italian restaurant across the street.
Lastly, the wine was disgusting and it reminded me of very inexpensive wine similar to Tisdale (buy from the $1.25 store) or Oakleaf (buy from grocery store in bottom shelf when you wanna make some sangria…(very low end...
Read moreWhat a lovely place in Calistoga. Very cool artsy venue and very nice hosts! I came in on a Saturday around 5pm and the place was empty so I was lucky to get a chair at Robi (the Robot). It was pretty cool to watch the robot pour a glass of wine. For Robi to pour your wine it's $20/glass. Robi will also bring you a tip jar at the end so tip Robi. They'll take a video of you at the bar with Robi and can airdrop it to you. Pretty cool! Robi poured me the Dry Creek and Mendocino pinots. I liked the Dry Creek and purchased a bottle ($69). I didn't see the menu at first so I didn't know what was part of the robot pour. I guess you can just do the robot bar by the glass without doing the 6 tastings. I ended up tasting their three cabs. It was okay but I was more interested in the pinot. For 6 tastings, it's $69 which includes the two at the bar with Robi. So you'll pay Robi to pour the wines that is part of the 6 tastings. The experience was great. Here's an idea of what you'll get. I did two pours with the robot, 3 cab tastings and bought one bottle for $180 (includes the $27 tip) I'll definitely have to bring the wife...
