Forget your preconceptions of ramen as a quick, slurpy meal. Bosso Ramen Tavern elevates this humble dish to a work of art, a symphony of elegance and soul that soothes the senses as much as it satisfies the palate.
From the moment you step into the warm, inviting space, it's clear this isn't your average ramen joint. The exposed brick, sleek wood accents, and soft lighting create an atmosphere that's both sophisticated and cozy. The attentive service only adds to the feeling of being pampered, like a guest at a private supper club rather than a ramen diner.
But the true magic unfolds when the ramen arrives. The bowls themselves are like canvases, each one holding a masterpiece of culinary artistry. The broth, a complex symphony of umami depths, whispers of the sea with its subtle notes of kelp and shiitake, while the tender noodles dance like silken threads. Each topping, whether the melt-in-your-mouth pork belly or the perfectly poached egg, is a carefully chosen note in this harmonious composition.
But it's not just the technical precision that makes Bosso's ramen so special. There's a soulfulness to it, a quiet depth that speaks of tradition and care. Each spoonful is a warm hug, a comforting reminder of the simple pleasures in life. You can almost feel the love and dedication poured into every bowl, the hands of generations past guiding the present.
This isn't just ramen; it's an experience. It's a journey into the heart of Japanese comfort food, elevated to a level of refinement that leaves you speechless. It's a reminder that even the most humble ingredients, when treated with respect and love, can become something truly extraordinary.
If you're looking for a ramen experience that will stay with you long after the last drop is gone, then Bosso Ramen Tavern is a must-visit. It's not just a five-star meal; it's a soul-satisfying symphony of elegance and refinement, a culinary poem that will leave you yearning for more.
So, come, dear reader, and let Bosso Ramen warm your heart and fill your soul. You won't be...
Read moreOverall, the noodles were just okay and overpriced. The menu and food didn't seem authenticate. A bit of chinese fusion. The staff was nice and warm. I would not recommend if it was an outing or a date. The food is just meh. Charsu, instead of chashu, was very interesting.
Ordered Umami Ramen also with Mentaiko rice and addon karaage chicken for +$4.00.
Rating 3/5 Umami ramen had thin noodles, and the brothe was good and more flavorful than the Karami Ramen. For some reason, they give different noodles for different ramen. Let us choose what type. The charsu was extremely sad. There are few pieces of extremely thin slices of pork. These slices are for hotpot or thinly sliced pork for korean bbq.
Do not spend extra for the charsu. It's not even tasty or fatty like the authentic "chashu"
Rating 0/5 Mentaiko rice.. where do I even start? The mentaiko was not tasty at all and icey. Thought someone shaved a block of the fish and placed it on top of my rice before serving. I've tried mentaiko dishes plenty of times ranging from noodles, spaghetti, fries and etc. Worst mentaiko ever. Would not recommend.
Rating 2/5 Karaage chicken was two small pieces of chicken for $4. Photos attached... flavor was good, but there was too much pepper and no lemon provided. I've never heard of a Japanese restaurant serving karaage with no lemon.
Ordered Karami Ramen with Charshu rice
Score 3/5 Karami Ramen was just decent. This one had thicket noodles, which i prefer always. The brothe wasn't spicy at all but a little salty. The charsu was sad, just like the umami ramen.
Score 1/5 The charsu rice was so disappointing. I assumed it was a typo on the menu, and it meant to say chashu, but I was so wrong. They offer chinese style ground pork over price. The meat didn't have that much flavor and was a little cold. It's probably the worst charsu...
Read moreI hate to write this as I’ve been to Bosso a couple of times and have enjoyed it in the past, but my last two visits have been less than pleasant. First the food - I’m vegetarian so I always get the vegan ramen, it’s excellent, very flavorful and different. The vegan sushi I’ve gotten on the other hand is not good, tastes odd and is lacking in flavor. The fries are excellent. The sesame ice cream is amazing. The service - this is where my disappointment has been. We had a booking for 6.30 pm and were seated and got our food - at 7.30 pm we had just paid and were told we had to leave as there was another reservation. A reservation should be a minimum of 90 minutes, I understand the tables were filling up but it was very off putting as we were catching up over a meal - people come to restaurants for the ambience and experience not just to eat and go. Especially for your high prices. It’s not like we were there for hours, we were there for just one hour. This was poor planning on their part. The previous time I came here I had made a reservation for 3 at 8 pm, and despite it saying on Google that they close at 10, we were getting rushed at 8.30 pm saying the kitchen was closing as they were short staffed. Which again I get, but the server was kinda rude and when we asked if we could order dessert in a few minutes as we hadn’t finished our food they said no so we had to order ice cream that was melting as we finished our food. I had brought some friends from out of town here so it was particularly embarrassing the way the server behaved. Overall having this experience twice in a row makes me hesitant to recommend this place and gives me pause on coming here again. Despite visiting here frequently in the past and enjoying their food I will probably not be coming again anytime soon due to the...
