Denny's review for 1.19.12
we went to the cambridge,oh denny's and it was easy to get to. Parking was great (were able to park next to the door) and there were no lines... we even went around lunch time and the place wasn't very packed at all ;-) the décor was decent... not fancy but not sparse and the lighting was adequate, but not overbearing... the layout was typical of a denny's and the place was very clean and calm.
we got seated and taken care of very promptly and got our drinks very quickly. It was taking us a good amount of time to decide what we wanted, and she came around again and asked if we were ready, and we said we wanted more time so she refilled our drinks and then came back very quickly later and she refilled and we decided...
I ordered a skillet and a side salad (ranch dressing).... and she took the order and ….
the salad for me came right about the same time as my meal did... approx 3 minutes later... LOL... but the speed in which we got our food was pretty fast.
My skillet (the western one) with ham, bacon, eggs, peppers, potatoes (normally baked redskinned but they substituted with has browns instead so we can still have it!) (most places would not offer it at all!) which was very nice. It also had cheese sauce and a few other things....
it tasted very yummy I wanted more but my tummy said no cause it was full. LOL...
she was very good at taking care of us and about when we were about 80% of our visit there she introduced our new server, as she said the manager wanted her to go on break, so she introduced her to us and told us she would be taking care of us and was very informative and polite about it! ;-)
we had very good service there, the food was great and as an added bonus the place had wifi and was decent speeds. ;-) the prices were cheap (25 bucks for 3 people)

Read moreMy wife nd I patronize this Denny's for breakfast usually 2x /wk. On this date we chose to stop for a late lunch. Our server was Emily H. For the 1st time in the years we have ben coming to this Denny's I left angry, and the 1st time ever that I left a server but 1.00 as a tip. As a retired mental health professional, there is little that I can say makes me angry to a point that I would leave a $1 tip. The food was not an issue , but this server, though cordial and interactive has poor insight into how to cater to her customers. One she gets us order, she seems to forget about you. First, the coffee she brought me was the bottom of the pot, burnt. Next it too a half an hr. to receive the 2 burgers & fries we ordered. We even inquired of the male host if we had been forgotten about. Next on bringing my coffee refill, she brought what wz left in her pot, which filled abt 1/3 of my cup. She informed me that she wz making a fresh pot. By the time she brought it, abt 30 min. I wz done with my meal, and was so disappointed , that we left and I drank none of the fresh coffee. On paying or bill, I shared my disappoint with the male host, but he made no offer to reduce the cost of our bill(which I can accept, as the food wz not at issue), nor did he offer us a rain check, to compensate us for our disappointment in service. So, we paid our bill, and hopes that the server will get our message of disappointment with her $ 1 tip. When a server causes me to leave disappointed /angry following what has routinely been a pleasant experience at Denny's, then it is time I share my disappointment/ with management....but then I thought that will management really even care????? Read moreI have ordered online multiple times and every time we order a dinner such as steak with dinner bread in the description and we never received it. So todays order I stated in the comment for each meal to that stated it has dinner bread included to MAKE SURE DINNER BREAD IS INCLUDED. Needless to say neither meal had the bread. Called and spoke with the manager and he stated they were out, I told him how this has been an issue every time we order those meals and asked why someone couldn't have called and he stated they are too busy to call at times and apologized but I wasn't told about it when I went to pick up the meals either. But my wife's steak we asked for well done and was still medium. Spent over $100 with tip for an online order. Will not be coming back after multiple times of not being able to get orders right and manager didn't seem like he really cared about...
