Rudest service I have ever seen. Guests are treated as slaves. I would really appreciate any advice on how I can make my voice heard more broadly, and will do my best help more people avoid this restaurant. Here I share our recent experience yesterday in detail.
When we walked in, they ordered us to wait outside the restaurant until all parties are here. It was very cold outside and they said this without any apologies. They just pointed to the door and shouted at us "You must wait outside! This is our rule!"
After all our parties arrived we tried to add chairs to the existing table. The chairs were from another table we reserved. They said you shouldn't be able to order two tables. BUT in your book I have reserved two tables and you are telling me I can't right now. Why didn't you tell us earlier? That case we would avoid this terrible restaurant altogether. Really no service, no explanation, just commanding. I don't know if the servers are trained as squid games crew. Worse than that we are paying them for the stupidity of everything we've been through.
Also, it was my birthday that day, and we brought birthday cake. They dismissed our request to help store our cake. This might be understandable under Covid. But their attitude is unapologetic, unkind and unwelcoming.
Throughout the whole dinner they are denying our demand, be it small or large. One of us really enjoyed barbecuing (cooking the food), the server said she was not cooking the right way and just snatched away the tools and cooked. In the server's eyes they are seeing us as hungry refugees just coming here to serve food. The experience is full of denial of demands and no enjoyable or pleasant experience at all. Every time they come at our table they are not here to serve, but here to ruin our mood.
We didn't have any luck near the end. Servers (1) took away our plates before we've finished. (2) packed the wrong food for take-away. (3) forced us to pay for 18% gratuity (4) asked us to leave the table shortly after our reservation time frame is passed.
Okay looking back, this is really military training instead of dinner serving. I cannot understand why we paid hundreds for this service. Please avoid this store if you are lucky to see this review, also I'd really appreciate how to spread this word more broadly. My birthday was ruined by them and can't bear to see them just walk away from their terrible service like that. Any related advice on spreading the words is highly...
Read moreIt's definitely very expensive and my recommendation for you
1.) You could try to divide the bill evenly or separate the bill
2.) BE SURE TO CALL AHEAD AND MAKE A RESERVATION! I'm telling you right now this place is almost booked throughout the entire day on the weekends weekdays maybe it has some down time but believe me you'll be waiting there for almost an hour to 30 minutes the least because you have to wait till tables open up and families could take a bit because they're either talking or still eating or both in just enjoying the seating while they wait for everyone to eat so be sure to make some reservations to ensure your seat for you and or your party.
3.) Don't get drinks that you can find in stores get stuff that you get mixed because for example they're so due is the same soldier you could find at any liquor store but twice the price definitely don't do that they have more creative drinks definitely choose that cuz they are still good and will most likely taste similar to what you're trying to look for!
4.) Number three and the most important thing to be able to budget and or enjoy without the frustration of wondering what your bill will come out to is to order the stuff that you guys will eat similarly. For example ask your party if they all will like chicken and if they don't mind eating chicken that way you guys can get two sets of chicken rather than everybody else getting chicken and there's five orders of chicken when you guys could have just split the meats up that's one example.
Those are my tips for you for enjoying this place either you go while it's blazing or you want to try to budget while still enjoying the high life of...
Read moreDont be fooled by the 5 stars of this place. The service is plain awful. They seem to be more about the buck rather than the customer. Very little things added up to the experience. Only one napkin per customer, not everyone receiving a setting, no water refills for beginners. They wanted you in an out even though there was hardly anyone there. This place was very robotic. I have been to a lot of korean bbq establishments and based on the reviews on here I was expecting great service and the quality of meats to be great. The meat is pretty average and should not warrant this much stars. Also, the banchan selection is so basic and limited, only kimchee, radish and broccoli. I noticed, we did not get the same side dishes as the table next to us. We got the stuff they wanted to get rid of while the other table that ordered more food than us got the good dishes, like stir fried fish cake. Also, when we asked for more broccoli side dishes they said no, because we needed to order more meat. I guess the more meat you buy the more side dishes they can serve? They said it was their policy. I get it, you want your customers to buy food, you are a business. But seriously, for just another dish of broccoli? I have been to other korean restaurants who want you to have an experience to come back. Other restaurants want you to enjoy your food with their service and not nickel and dime you. This experience only led me to give this place a tag of bonafide "tourist trap" establishment in the heart of Cambridge. Dont go here if you want a "Times Square" tourist trap experience. Seriously. Don't...
