We were told that the wait time is 20 minutes and then after 20 minutes, it’s another 20 minutes. We weren’t seated until 1 hour later. And when we were seated, they placed us ( 7 PEOPLE) in a booth for 4 people and added one chair at the end. We were all squeezing together and getting super squished. We can’t even bend our arms properly to eat the food. So obviously, we asked to switch to a bigger table and they said no because other people have to sit there. We saw the group. IT WAS A GROUP OF 5. They think it’s a good idea to sit a group of 5 in the bigger table and leave us with the smaller table, super crammed. This is unacceptable.

The waitress were wonderful and this bad review isn’t reflecting on them but the poor management of the restaurant. The decision making doesn’t make sense for them to sit smaller groups in bigger tables. I understand that cleaning might take a bit of time for switching the tables. But for a better experience for valuable customers, it should be fine to take a few minutes to clean the table to seat the smaller group. Especially the fact that the smaller group didn’t arrive until 10 or 15 minutes after we asked for the switch which is a long enough time for them to clean and set up our table for them BUT NO. They decided to let us just watch the smaller group take the bigger table.

The food was okay but we can’t even enjoy it fully because we can’t bend our arms properly to eat it. Never coming back ever again. Can’t believe they made an experience bad for a large party. Do they want...

If you're searching for an outstanding restaurant to try, I highly recommend The Friendly Toast. My experience there was incredible, and I can't emphasize enough how much I enjoyed it. Allow me to provide some details so that you know what to anticipate.

Upon arriving with my dog, I was pleased with how warmly they welcomed her. They treated her like a part of the family, offering her water since I had forgotten her bowl and even asking if she wanted any treats.

The Mimosa Flight was delightful, and each drink was perfectly balanced between fruit tones and alcohol. It started with the traditional mimosa and finished with the Raspberry mimosa, which was a perfect way to end the flight. My only advice is to start with the Raspberry mimosa instead of the traditional one and not to order any other drinks. I almost left without finishing my flight because I ordered coffee, but I'm glad I stuck it out because the final drink was incredible.

For my next course, I had an appetizer trio that was amazing. Each item was delicious, and there was a good balance between crunch and sweetness. Finally, I had the Chicken and Waffle dish, which was one of the best I have ever had. The chicken was amazing, and the hot honey was the perfect complement.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a great place to eat, head to The Friendly Toast. I guarantee you won't be...

We are big fans of The Friendly Toast, but this location failed miserably! We were staying at a nearby hotel and intentionally sought out the Friendly Toast as we have been to multiple locations and always have a great experience. We decided to sit at the bar and avoid the wait. What a mistake that turned out to be. It was almost empty at the bar with one young man working there, and we were completely ignored for over 15 minutes. We were not even acknowledged. I asked if we could move to a table, and the hostess said yes, but the only table I have available is serviced by the same bartender. This guy literally walked back and forth right in front of us and avoided eye contact. I asked if he was working alone as we needed service e and he responded "yes I am and walked away" Not even a "high welcome to... I will be right with you" or maybe even "I am working alone but I'll be with you as soon as I can" I asked him directly why he was choosing to ignore us and refusing to even offer us a simple greeting or a glass of water while we wait and his response was "I thought you said you needed time."I reminded him I had previously asked for service, and his response was I have a lot of things to do. We let him know this is was very disrespectful and got up...

For your next fall brunch make sure you head to @The Friendly Toast to check out their @Noah Kahan @thebusyheadproject fall menu!!! Their Pumpkin Stick Season’ed Stack lived up the the expections and the pumpkin butter on top was SOOO GOOD. Also had to try the “Waffle Be Here Forever” topped with cinnamon sugar apples, fried pancake strings, and blueberry granola. The vibe in the restaurant was adorable with the best fall decorations, and now w I want to come back to taste everything on the menu Don’t miss trying this fall menu while you can!!!🥞🧇🎃🍂 #proudeats #foodie #dessert #wheretoeatboston #boston #bostonfoodie #bostonfoodrecommendations #bostonbrunch #bostonbreakfast #bostoneats #bostonpancakes #cambridgema #wheretoeatcambridgema #sweettreat #pancakes #pumpkinpancakes #applewaffle #fallpancakes #fallbrunch #thefriendlytoast #thebusyheadproject #noahkahnthefriendlytoast #noahkahnmenu #friendlytoastfall #bestbreakfastboston

I have fond memories of getting a smoked salmon eggs benedict at former Friendly Toast location in Kendall Square, so I've been meaning to try the Harvard location for a while. The interior is decorated very on-theme, with bright colors and diner-style furniture. The menu is pretty big with detailed descriptions and covers all of the breakfast/brunch bases. I tried the hash quiche, which was a bit heavy for me. It was mostly deep fried hash browns (which were heavy and not particularly good), and the amount of egg was pretty minimal. It's an interesting concept, but I think more eggs and fewer hash browns would've made for a better dish. We did get a cayenne cheddar toast slice on the side, which I really liked. I also tried the chicken cordon bleu benny. This was again quite rich, and the smoked ham was quite salty. I think it would've been good to have a side that is more light -- perhaps a salad? I also tried a bit of the waffle, which was pretty good but nothing special. Overall I think there are things here that I would enjoy more than what we got. It's a nice place to grab brunch with friends, but I wouldn't choose it over other places for now.
