This is a newly opened restaurant, so everything is clean and pleasant. The crisp white table napkins ironed to perfection add to the picture. Their outside dining area is dressed up with lovely plants and lights. For us, it's also important that the distance between tables provides sufficient space for a dog to lay down. And now the most important part - food: Stuffed Paneer Pakora $9.95 - the dish was generally tasty, but the patties lacked on the crispiness. The chutneys that come with the dish were very good - well-seasoned, right consistency. We liked the most the tamarind one. Nawabi Malai Koftha $16.95 - these vegetarian "meatballs" made of cottage cheese and the rich, well-prepared Nawabi Gravy (made of cashews, almonds, cashews, onions, ginger, garlic, and other ingredients) were simply delicious. Definitely the best dish on the table! Papad $3.95 - could be thinner but still nicely crisp and seasoned -makes a great and light starter. Masala Fries $6.95 - were, surprisingly, tastier than Stuffed Paratha! Good flavors, good crispiness, nice thickness of the fries all made it enjoyable nibble while waiting. Stuffed Paratha $6.95 - was not really stuffed, rather smirred with some cottage cheese and spices, and the dough was rather on the tough side. We did not enjoy it. Tandoori Salmon $21.95 - definitely was the worse of the dishes. Served on a bed of raw veggies, the salmon was not fully cooked inside. So, some hits, some misses, but we are happy to have a new, clean restaurant in EDH with vegetarian dishes on the menu and inviting outside seating accommodating dogs. We will definitely...
Read moreI never leave bad reviews on google but, I’ve had multiple bad experiences at this place. Have been mistreated on multiple occasions by the staff and have been judged. Have seen them prefer white people over Indian, have seen them say mean things about me and my family to each other in Hindi thinking we won’t understand as it’s a Punjabi dominated area. Have seen them offer a place to sit to non Indian people vs us, while picking up food orders. We have had parties catered from them and have on numerous occasions recommended them to other people. But, I think the owner isn’t paying attention and needs to know how badly the staff is treating people. Then and again my food orders have been sent incorrectly via DoorDash and also in store pickups. The staff has said weird things about us to each other and laughed. My husband always asks me to ignore but, today they crossed a line and almost snubbed me. The food I ordered was sent incorrectly and was soggy when delivered. Their food is always inconsistent. The owner doesn’t care, the staff is rude, only if you are white or are a big party will they cater to you nicely or else you’ll see the same racist behavior they’ll show towards their own skin.! Mediocre food and really rude staff.! And also have seen the staff eat out of the saunf bowl at the entrance casually just while walking around.! So beware before you eat it because they clean a table and get saunf right after without sanitizing...
Read moreMy Mom and I went here on Christmas and it was our first time eating here. We were really looking forward trying this place. I'll start off by saying that the restaurant is very nice and the service is good. However, we both got a dish with chicken and we were very disappointed! Considering the price of the dishes, I would expect a lot better meat. I got the chicken curry and the spices were very good, but the chicken itself was not good! Most of the chicken was rubbery dark meat and fatty too! I didn't not want to eat it to say the least. My Mom got the BBQ chicken and it was big portions but the chicken was also very fatty. We don't know why their chicken is so fatty. The flavor of the food is good and the Naan was delicious, even though you have to pay extra for any bread. I ended up taking my leftovers home and making my own chicken to thrown into the curry. I shouldn't have to do that! With the Naan, my dish was about $20.00. Unfortunately, we were too disappointed to ever go back. I would not...
