I appologize if i offend this place, but look at the location.. its in heart of el dorado and this place does NOT match the atmosphere not for me, not for my friends that came from overseas. Lets start with water they serve-it was from the sink... How do i know? I went to the bathroom just for that to tast the water and the amount of clorax is so strong it smells when you have your cheap plastic glass next to you and it leaves such a horrible after taste that even a sigarette my friend had after dinner did not kill it. Another thing was go to their bathroom and you will see how the top lid of a toilet was mented together from pieces with glue. Seriously? The toilet cost is around 100 bucks.. and last thing was when we came in an hour befor closing and the waitres said we need to place an order now and it will be last one as they are about to close. So, we did place our orders which took little extra because my friends dont speak english and i had to translate. So, when she came back one of my friend's was almost done when she abruptly grabed his menu and said she will get on his order and once agian mentioned it was final order due to them closing. We just looked at each other and i said to them not to pay attention but enjoy...

7-2925: Ordered Bento box w/sashimi, teriyaki beef, and tempura. Also came with hot rice, salad, miso soup, & fortune cookie. Other than the fortune cookie looking like it'd been dropped or crushed, the miso soup was luke-warm. Expected it to be hot like previous visits .. not this time!

Dinner #2: sushi & sashimi dinner - received 5 pc nigiri w/different sashimi on top of each, 4 pc of tuna on the side, and 8 pc California roll. California roll had NO taste. Salmon nigiri: sashimi was warm to the touch compared with the other nigiris, sashimi was cold to the touch. Miso soup was also luke warm.

Dinner #3 (take out): Bento box w/mackerel (salted), salmon (teriyaki), mixed tempura. Mackerel had way too many bones, tasted twangy & fishy tasting (shouldn't be). Salmon WAS NOT coated with teriyaki sauce and VERY MUCH UNDERCOOKED (couldn't be eaten, was thrown away). . Have never had problems like this in the past and after this, will NOT be back! Our suggestion to anyone eating there, check your food before consuming it. Raw fish should NEVER be twangy tasting or have a strong odor to it. If it does, stop eating and notify your server...

I ordered some takeout yesterday & unfortunately the crispy-ness of my veg. Tempura & Oh! Yes deep fried roll wasn’t there..(but that’s on me because I had to finish work before I could enjoy eating my meal). Regardless, the overall texture of the rice & flavors of all the different rolls I had were wonderful! I even ended up with some leftovers & the texture of the rice was still on point. The flavors were still all good which is rare because usually left over sushi is not good. Thank you sushi Kuma, Thank you Chef!

Just one constructive criticism for customers service - serving staff: When you pick up a customer’s order actually hand it to them.. don’t just walk it half way then place it down on the bar & walk away.. it makes it awkward and half-assed. If your not comfortable approaching customers and politely handing them their orders, then you can leave it at the end of the bar, welcome the customer in and point out which order is theirs so that they can walk up and pick it up themselves. Then thank them and wish them a good day! It’s Simple. Easy. You can do it!! I believe...

We decided to eat here for dinner around 6pm on Saturday night because of their sign 'everyday 50% all rolls.' The restaurant was starting to fill up but we were seated right away: There were only 2 servers and I had to call one of them to place an order as the tables were getting full. We ordered california roll, tempura roll, rock n' roll, spicy tuna roll, and maki. The rolls came out pretty quick. The rolls looked and tasted good but they were rather on the smaller size. But nothing beat the price! Even their special rolls are 50% off. I noticed that there were lots of pick up orders on the table near to the sushi bar. By the time we finished our meal, the restaurant was full. We will definitely come back for the rolls whenever we're in the area.

My favorite restaurant to eat American sushi. The quality to price ratio is superb. A bit annoying that I saw at least one review complaining that their food was Americanized though. If you order a roll then don't be surprised that you got a roll. They have nigiri if you want actual sushi. American sushi is great too but it is a completely different food. Yeah they have some similar ingredients but they're not the same. Chicago style pizza is not pizza, at some point it's a different food. Anyway, the ingredients are clearly illustrated on the menus so enjoy whichever type (or both!) you would prefer. And if you would like American, then this restaurant is the absolute best.

I was in the area for a day and stopped here for a quick to-go dinner. I got the yummy yummy roll, California roll, and the salmon skin hand roll. They were all really yummy, especially the salmon skin hand roll. I thought it was so good, I came back the next day and ordered 3 salmon skin hand rolls to go. I finished it at the airport. Lol The Aunty helping me was really nice and so were the sushi chefs. I messed up and called the wrong location the first time around. Don’t make the same mistake as me. If I’m ever back in the area, I’d definitely stop by. YUM
