We pulled up at the Dennys 24 hour diner. There were about 30 of us and they seated us in a quick manor. I had some great conversations with my friends because of the incredible, beautiful, unbelievable, spectacular atmosphere. I must say bro, the grub was supercalifragilisticexpiealidocious even though the sound of it was something quite atrocious, if you say it loud enough you'll always sound precocious supercalifragilisticexpiealidocious. Here is my dennys testimony
My name is Ayden, I’m a sophomore in high school, and I’ve been going to Denny’s since freshman year. I grew up around breakfast food, but rarely went to diners growing up. My family was part of a really big chain — you know, the kind with 24/7 hours and way too many menu items — and I never really became part of the pancake community.
Around middle school, I saw my older brother going through a really tough time. He never left his room, barely talked to anyone, and was living off gas station snacks. But then something changed. He started coming out, being more kind and loving. He started going to this place called Denny’s. By the end of his senior year, he said he was called to pursue culinary arts — inspired by those $4 All-American Slams. That really caught my attention. I wanted to know what made Denny’s so different.
When I first walked into Denny’s, I only knew two people: my brother, and the lady who refilled the coffee. But little by little, I became a part of the Denny’s regulars. I started asking questions: “Why are their pancakes so fluffy?” “Is the Moons Over My Hammy actually good?” That journey led me to my first Denny’s Winter Breakfast Bash during freshman year. That’s when I first truly tasted Denny’s. I knew right then, my heart belonged to hash browns.
But over time, I started doubting. Was I truly loyal to Denny’s? Would I one day be tempted by IHOP? Or worse… Applebee’s? I struggled. I fell into sin often — sometimes even eating homemade breakfast. I didn’t want to give it up. But I realized I was trying to overcome my cravings on my own. So I started praying to Denny’s to remove my desire for drive-thru McMuffins.
I stayed faithful for months. I gave up Instagram for Lent because all the food pics made me crave Taco Bell breakfast. Then last Saturday, I redownloaded the app. The first thing I saw was a friend posting a picture of his Denny’s Grand Slam. I felt convicted. I deleted the app immediately and whispered, “Thank you, Denny’s.”
Then I remembered my four-word testimony: Stay faithful to Denny’s.
That same morning, I had read the Denny’s Daily Menu Verse: John 15:4-5, but pancake edition. “Remain in the booth, and I will remain in you. For a plate cannot be full if it is removed from the table, and you cannot be full unless you stay at Denny’s.”
Right after that, I reopened the menu, which I hadn’t looked at in a week — and the next item? Yep, the very same combo meal. That’s how I knew: Denny’s was speaking to me.
I still fall short. I still get tempted by overpriced brunches and fancy avocado toast. But I know now: as long as I stay faithful to Denny’s, and I keep returning for that bottomless coffee and $5.99 Slam, I’ll be okay.
You can’t fight breakfast cravings alone — but with Denny’s by your side, you can...
Read moreToday I Took two of my children to have breakfast . When we got there, we didn’t wait long to be seated, but they ended up sitting us at a dirty table, so me and my kids wiped off all the Salt and pieces of food with our hand. The staff was nice and they did come quickly to get our drink order, but the coffee was not hot and I had to wait a while to get utensils to stir my coffee cream in. We waited quite a while for the food to arrive, and when it did right away, I noticed that the T-bone steak did not look good. The bone had blood on it, but the rest of the steak was overcooked , I did ask for a medium rare steak. But we tried to eat it and not waste the food, but we were unable to finish our food. We left most of what we ordered at the table . I’m not sure if the steak was maybe defrosted in the microwave or Boiled and then fried up but something was definitely off about it. Luckily, I live five minutes from the restaurant because I did end up getting nauseous and throwing up. I think the best thing about the Meal was probably the ice water they gave us . A friend of mine had gone to the restaurant earlier this year with her children and complained of the same issues, but I did want to give it a chance as it is in our area and I Wanted to do something with my older children as a family . I do appreciate that the manager took the steak off as it was a $20 plate . I ate just the hashbrowns and gave the eggs to my daughter . I had no issue with paying for my kids meals, but I definitely didn’t want to pay for that stake . The manager was very nice and asked no questions when I Asked him if he could remove the T-bone steak off the Bill he apologized, but you could see the disappointment in his face. I think he’s trying to get things under control because we did hear him in the kitchen talking to his staff before we paid explaining that he wanted things to be perfect and ran well . I do hope that they get things under control and provide faster service , Clean tables and good quality food . I don’t want to bash the restaurant because the staff was nice. The only reason I’ve decided to write a review is so that maybe they could use it to improve . Because Denny’s is a place that Has a lot of options that kids . and there’s a lot of people in the area with children and it makes it easier to take them to a place that has fun meals that we can actually get our children to eat so I do hope they are able to fix some of these issue. Because I see a manager that is trying kind and wanting to improve and make the...

We got there around 6am and a guy who looked like he had just rolled out of bed took our orders. I ordered over easy eggs and when my eggs came out hard as a rock (almost 45 minutes later) I asked if they could send over easy eggs out since they were cooked improperly. I usually do not send food back but they weren’t runny at all as I asked for. I later learned the server had tried to charge me for EXTRA eggs even though they weren’t Cooked right at all.
My boyfriend asked for extra eggs and he didn’t get any. When he pointed it out and was given some he was not given any extra, but still charged for extra eggs.
I asked if my meal came with hash browns because I wanted to add some on if it did not. The server informed me it did. When I didn’t get my hash browns I asked why and this man brought a menu over and read it to me telling me it in fact did not come with hash browns, and did not give me the chance to order any.
At one point some sketchy looking guy, with a knife on him, not in uniform handed us a plate of food. The server was talking to him for a while and afterwards this guy got in a white van and started smoking either marijuana or something else right out in the parking lot in the creepy van. I even know if he worked there.
We were not checked on ONCE after we got our food. All I wanted was some hot sauce and drink refills and never got the chance to ask. My friends toast was burnt, boyfriends French toast was burnt, friends pancakes were hard and my other friend never got his ranch.
after we had been done eating another server who had just come on shift arrived and asked if we got our check. I said no, we weren’t check on the whole time. She informed me that this man is her MANAGER so I couldn’t even complain to a manager. We were shocked.
At the end when I asked if I could tip the other girl, she said no the manager who served us would get the tips. Managers in Arizona aren’t even allowed to accept tips because it’s illegal. Needless to say we didn’t leave a dime and won’t be back anytime soon. We will save our coupons for cottonwood.
10/10 worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Absolutely insane. And I usually tip well because I used to work in the restaurant industry and I...
