Most of the staff doesn't know what they're talking about. The rest of them have sticks up their butt for no reason, and that makes for an overall horrible staff. Super rude and arrogant. I feel like this store and the Westgate one need to go through advanced training on how to do customer service and not be an a-hole. Three people on staff last night, all standing around not doing anything. One guy starts ringing and the other two just looked confused at life. I was #2 out of 2 people in line. The first guy was a regular. You could tell by how they asked if he was getting something specific and said his name. They acted like he was a friend, and that's great. What isn't great is how they treated me like I was someone who took away their happy before I even said a word. I was on my way to a birthday dinner and stopped in to get a gift card for it. I had $5 on my registered starbucks card and a $10 in my wallet. I wanted to save $5 for my tip for dinner and asked if I could pay $5 in cash and $5 from my app. They said no, new policy says you can't pay for gift cards with gift cards. Now that part is true. You aren't supposed to pay for a sbux gift card with a prepaid gift card from another company. But that is not correct for a starbucks card, especially one that is registered. Some bushy haired guy that looked like someone pooped in his hand shoved a paper from their district manager in my face and said too bad. I used the cash and asked for a pen to write on the envelope. Then the girl stepped in. I set the pen down and said thanks, but she just looked at me like Wednesday Addams and I left. Called the number on the back of my card and they said that wasn't right and gave me a star for the horrible service. This is far from the first time I've heard of terrible service from this store, and I'm sure it won't be the last. Not coming back to this...
Read moreI had an issue with this particular Starbucks making drinks that tasted like sour milk. I suspected they were either leaving the milk out on the counter unrefrigerated too long or not throwing it out when it expired. Through many experiments, we eventually discovered the source of the problem was the whipped cream. Either it was not being kept cold enough, or the person who was responsible for cleaning out the whipped cream canister was not cleaning it properly, so there was old cream residue left behind that imparted a sour taste. When the whipped cream melted on a hot drink, it made the entire beverage taste spoiled. This problem persisted for months. I started avoiding this location for that very reason (I've never been to another Starbucks that had that problem). After giving them a few more tries recently, they seem to have gotten better. I'm not sure if the person who was responsible for the whipped cream no longer works there or if they just improved their food safety and refrigeration practices, but I haven't had a sour drink from here in the past few months. That being said, I like the location, but they started closing at an unusually early hour on Sundays, making them useless if you want coffee in the evening. And unlike other locations, you have to ask an employee for the code to unlock...
Read moreThis is far from the nicest Starbucks, but its the one I usually find myself at. What wins me over here is convenience more than anything else. The next closest location is downtown Campbell, and while that location is generally nicer sometimes I don't want to battle for parking just for a cup of coffee. This Starbucks is quite large with plenty of seating inside and out, so if I plan to hang around its usually not a problem. Its a busy store, but well staffed so I've never seen lines get that long. Service is generally good though staff here seems oddly less friendly. Overall its a Starbucks, the coffee isn't the best but its still good and its the same you'll get...
