The Barrel Room on Canal — Restaurant in Canal Fulton

Looking for different places to go, we found the Barrel Room in Canal Fulton. The reviews are great and we decided to make the drive. There is no parking lot, that we saw, so you will need to find a spot on the street…just an FYI.

As we entered, we were surprised by the size. It is on the smaller side, however, they do a great job at utilizing the space. The atmosphere is wonderful, the drink menu is vast, and the food has something for everyone. I love all the local craft beers and made from scratch food. We all had something different and everyone was impressed.

More impressive was our server Hanyn. She was the only one working the floor and she did it all. She was our server, food runner, bartender, and everything. Normally, I would say that is not enough and we would be waiting and waiting forever. That was not the case. Hanyn was AMAZING! She was super efficient, gave great suggestions, and took wonderful care of us and the rest of the full restaurant. We could not have asked for better service…she was...

We had an amazing experience here for dinner last night! The place filled up quickly and the servers were phenomenal! Becca waited on us and she never stopped moving- she was on everything- drink refills, taking our plates away, getting us everything we needed! Marco was so nice to talk to and the food was fantastic! We all had different meals- pretzel bites and corn ribs for appetizers, cheese steak, burger, pork chop Christmas in July special, jerk chicken and salmon BLT. No one had any complaints- everything tasted great- it was hot when it came out and the portions were perfect! We will definitely be back again! After dinner we went up to the Speakeasy above the restaurant and had another fantastic experience. I would highly recommend...

Not a great experience here. Two of us came in on a Thursday night around 645pm...about half the tables were full. Sat down inside...server came over and gave us waters. Then nothing.

Waited about 10 min...a table opened up on the patio. Literally went to the bar and told our server we were moving outside and we were ready for her...she said she would be right out...waited another 8-10 minutes...no one ever showed up. In that venue...at that time of day...with roughly 50% occupancy...a party of two should have to wait 15+ minutes just to place a drink order.
