Haven't been to a Denny's in years and won't be back again. Not because the food was all to bad as I had gotten a build your own grand slam with upgraded caramel pancakes which were great. However, the bacon I ordered wasn't extra crispy as I asked and the hashbrowns seemed to be under cooked and barely browned.
It wasn't fully because of the waitress either as she was nice but when my mother ordered her make your own grand slam the waitress didn't say that the french toast was an upcharge, only saying that it wasn't a problem to sub it for pancakes.
This is where the main issue starts as when going to check out after noticing the unmentioned upcharge the lady doing the checking out gets the waitress we had to come back out who flat out said she didn't say there was an upcharge. She then went to get the manager (Steve I believe was his name) and his attitude towards the whole thing was unacceptable. He came out with attitude, had no interest in hearing what anyone had to say, had no interest in deescalating the situation, absolutely had no interest in just waving the unmentioned upcharge, and had the nerve to say that our waitress should pay it then if it was that big of a problem, and made it seem as if the customer should just know everything about the menu he claims to have made including if there's upcharges or not. He claims he's there to fix the issue of the past manager giving away to much food but in turn he's losing more customers (and probably staff if he's suggesting they pay for their mistakes) all because he doesn't care to actually do a managers job as one should do it.
I believe this man should be fired immediately, or at least seriously looked into/reviewed by corporate, and have someone that actually wants to do their job both to minimalize the amount of free food (if that's what he's really there for) and to be a manager that is actually able to handle a waitress/waiters/servers mistake without making them eat the cost on their tips/wages like he did today for our waitress as she ended up not getting a tip even though she should've gotten one had the manager not...
Read moreI'm a little bit upset, because this place used to actually be really good, at least whenever I was a teenager.
Atmosphere was a little bit, down and out, kind of like a ghost town it was only filled with a couple of elderly people and this is around 5:30, almost 6 o'clock, so prime dinner time.
Our waitress was very sweet, but our hostess was quite the opposite I could understand if this place was hopping and full of people, and someone was trying to urgently get her attention, but every time that she walked past us, she would put up her index finger every time. And honestly had the attitude of do not talk to me, I am too busy to talk to you. Like I said are waitress was very sweet and kind unlike our hostess.
And sadly, the food was very sad and quite unappetizing. I myself have build your own burger with bacon and cheese on it with a side of fries. The fries were very bland and soggy, and the burger I wish I would have been seasoned at the very least, all I had was an unseasoned patty, very plastic like American cheese and bacon that disintegrated in my mouth without the taste of bacon which I don't know how exactly overcooked, you have to make it in order to have that effect, the burger bun wasn't toasted, so it was just overall very soft with the overcooked edges of the burger yet the very cold center inside and the overcooked bacon along with the plastic cheese, it was just overall very sad and very flavorless and disappointing mush of a meal. My wife ended up getting one of their skillets, and she said that it was just alright, she agreed that it wasn't very well seasoned and overall, just kind of bland.
My very honest opinion, it was not worth the 30 dollars we spent in total...
Read moreIt's a shame this Denny's used to be a bustling place. The corporation has done its customers a disservice. The physical place is rundown looking and needs a coat of painting a new parking lot and remodeling. The appearance makes you skeptical of entering. The bathrooms were not clean, and there were very few customers for dinner hours. I suggest new management and pay your workers. I know times are tough, and we are suffering from this politically caused inflation. The cost of 2 meals has increased over 25%. We used to frequently patronize this establishment for the last 10-12 years, then moved away. We were in the area, and we had a taste for some Denny's! We were disappointed. We were seated quickly. But not waited on so fast. We looked at the menus, and, naturally, menu choice changes. I understand that's business. The workers seemed happy as they were back in the kitchen area laughing, and they were working. However shorthanded. It took a while to get our dinners, and the food tasted adequate. Not knock your Sox off, DENNY'S of old. Hard to find help...pay more! Pay an affordable wage in food service. Improve your menu food selection and clean those bathrooms. For God sakes Dennys Corporation ( Advantica Restaurant Group, Inc.) takes some pride in your business! It's not all about profit! I should have taken pictures. It appears that this corporation just isn't investing in itself nor...
