My husband and I went to the Washington Rural King on July 3rd, 2021. We had a couple things to get from there but my husband seen the tool section and went to see if they had the tools he needed. Well they did & he picked up the light he wanted. He then noticed they had more of the Milwaukee tools he needed and was browsing so he could purchase them. The entire time there was an employee behind us and coming up next to us watching us. Making it very clear to us he was there & wanted us to see him. I had no idea what he was doing until he kept coming up on our side, and looking to see where the light was in my husbands hand. As I started to get a cart, another employee came up to us and asked us if we were done shopping. When we said no, we have a good bit of things to get, she turned to the employee and explained for him to just watch and take our items when we are done.. so my husband walked to put the light back bc, well no. So she started pointing at all of the "smile you're on camera" & pictures of the thieves on the walls justifying why they are watching us. That made me mad. So we walked out furious. So bc they can't keep their inventory safe, they have an employee literally stand around and hover over you. It's so off putting. Not everyone is coming to steal. With what we had planned on purchasing, it was well over a grand. So just some advice bc we as well as our family, who frequently visit the store, will NOT be back. Secure your tools like other stores, you literally sell all of the items needed to do this. Instead, you are wasting an employees skills by having them stand over good paying customers & watching their every move. If I wasn't so annoyed over the situation, it would be comical bc of how absurd the whole situation was. It is NOT your customers problem that you can't figure out a better system. You are making it our problem by harassing them. Who wants to be followed, watched, and given no personal space while you are browsing and talking with your spouse? Literally ANYTHING is better than the method you have now. If it's that big of a problem, then don't sell them OR put them behind glass. I've never ever in my life had someone hover over us like that in a store while we decide which purchases to make. If I can hear & feel your breathing, you are too damn close. So rude to do to people. Brainstorming with employees can hopefully give you guys a solution for this. I hate that people are stealing from you guys, but making us feel like we are stealing or rushing us, when you haven't even changed your practices is preposterous. Hope you guys can figure something out so you can stop this shameful...
Read moreWandered around this place waiting on a friend to finish an appointment and all I can picture is the spirit Halloween folks gonna be walking around with a tape measure. Junk. Aisle after aisle, more expensive than Amazon, some stuff I picked up was already broken. Brands you've never heard of and all the ones that should be avoided and won't sell in legitimate stores. Figured I'd grab some snacks until I noticed many of their food items were out of date and the place was too dirty to feel comfortable even buying a bag of chips. Which was a good choice because I ended up standing outside waiting for my friend and I noticed roaches all over the walls and near the doors. I've never felt compelled to write a review, but I feel like out of date food plus roaches deserves a...
Read moreI love this store. Some reasons that result in inside jokes, but mainly because if you live in rural PA this is basically your Walmart. You need a tractor battery? Done. You need new sheets for the twin mattress for you and the Mrs' bed? Done. You want some popcorn while you shop for the farm/house/car/pets? Guess what? Done.
I joke, but it is a great store with friendly staff, EVERYTHING to chose from and quality items. It's hard to say it's a "clean" store when there's the smell of livestock in metal tubs for sale throughout the store (when I say they have everything I hope you didn't think I was kidding), but it is organized and it is kept up...
