Pathetic place and extremely rude staff including the manager!!! I placed my order to the Mexican woman who was on the heavier side, she was v RUDE for no reason and not helpful at all. It was so obvious that she didn’t want to serve me. My order was then passed to this older guy who was ringing me, he literally started SHOUTING at me because I was inquiring about the additional charge of the speciality bagel, which I didn’t mind paying but they didn’t mention that I will have to pay 66 cents for each speciality bagel, I was getting 13 bagels so the bill went up more then I expected. If a customer is inquiring about a charge, isn’t it’s the job of the salesperson to be kind and give the information?? He literally shouted at me and said the price is at the menu, that’s what menu is for!! While dealing with all this harassment, I requested the staff to toast a few bagels, the older racist guy dumped all of them in one box, when I asked which ones are toasted, he yelled at me again and when I responded in return that that’s not how customers should be treated and you are continuously harassing me. He was continuously responding in very Loud voice. He then started dealing with the other customer, he was out of control that the coffee cup he put for the next customer was shaking because he put it down so hard on the counter. The manager Racheal who was standing next to him, didn’t say anything to him. He was accusing me of yelling and even asked me to leave the shop. All this happened right in front of the manager who failed to take any action or even stop the staff member to treat me differently because of my accent. All she was doing was standing next to him and similing and finally took those 3 bagels out of the box. I was extremely jet lagged and starving but I left the store without taking the food even though I paid for it because I felt humiliated and unsafe. Pathetic place and extremely racist staff. I am one for sure that is very disappointed on how he has treated me and once i seen how he had treated a young boy in front of me awhile back and I felt so bad for this child. I am sure it was his first job and I never seen him again. What a thing to have to remember for your first job and how people can treat you so poorly. I had gone there many times and never felt very comfortable but I like a certain kind of bagel and they had them. I was jumped on for calling this place to make a pick up order before they opened... I had no clue to what hour they opened and no one had to answer the phone if it was closed. geee... Than when I came to pick up my order I waited a few minutes for it which was fine but what he had done was waited for all customers to leave than jumped me about calling 10 minutes before it opened and told me I was suppose to call ahead to place an order. Now that did upset me... I had called for over 2 hours on an off to place that order but no one answered the phone 2 days before.... I told him this than he says I do not have enough help to answer phones. HUH??????? If this nut job would play the by the same rules than maybe we could follow the rules. HOW ABOUT POSTING A SIGN so customers would know what we are suppose to do instead of jumping them and playing your sick game. Other places now that I have spoke to them about how I had been treated there say that many customers have complaints about this man. Read moreYesterday I went in to get the Tuna sandwich, they stated they were out of the sandwhich bun and to pick a bagel instead. Totally understandable, and I chose the last everything bagel on the shelf. While waiting I over heard another customer come in and ask for the everything bagel before making my sandwhich. They gave the other customer the everything bagel and put my sandwich on another type of bagel. I didn't say anything and left thinking it's just a misunderstanding it's not a big deal. Today I went in and order the same thing, a tuna sandwhich with the regular rye bread, an everything bagel with cream cheese, and tea. One of the workers goes "here you go" with one bagel in the bag, when I asked her what it was she said it was an tuna on everything bagel wih added cream cheese. I stated maybe you heard me wrong but this is actually what I wanted. Her response was, "yeah you ordered your food wrong." Out of curiosity how does one order food wrong? I bit my tongue and let it be even though she still managed to get my order wrong AGAIN after remaking my order. To add to everything else as I was walking out she went up to another coworker to gossip about me and then loudly talk about another time she messed up another customers the order.
