Shaker’s used to be great. It used to ALWAYS have great food and service. Sadly that isn’t the case anymore. A few months ago we came here and for the first time had a bad experience including poor service and our food coming out incorrect. Tonight we came here and had the same issues. Phil was our server and he kept forgetting everything-silverware, correct drinks, my side salad came out at the end of my entree instead of before. My five year old asked for milk and we were brought water. Finally got milk right before we left. When asking for our order he kept stopping to talk to the people behind us. Prices have gone up significantly. Fish and chips went up to $18 from $12. They have the most expensive kid’s meals in town at $10 that don’t even include a drink or side. They also removed many things from the kids menu. My son was upset the nachos were no longer on the menu. The entire place was empty and it took forever to get our food. Waited 15 minutes just to have someone acknowledge us after seating. We supported this place since it opened and during the pandemic. Sad to see the service quality go down. We watched a party of eight come in 20 minutes after us and got their food long before we got ours (only four of us). I don’t think we will be coming here anymore. With the extreme increase in prices and continued poor service we will go elsewhere.
In response to the owner: There is nothing false about my review. We did wait 15 minutes before anyone approached after our hostess seated us. Five minutes after being seated my husband used the restroom and it was ten more minutes before we saw anyone. The hostess even approached us and asked if we had been seen yet. If a bigger party was going on and that affected service times then that should have been communicated. I don’t have a problem waiting but be honest about the situation. Phil was nice and had a great personality but he could have been more communicative. At 9pm last night there were only four other tables in our area. It was not overly busy. If there was a bigger party it was out of our sight. I don’t write these reviews to be mean. I write an HONEST review of MY experience. I don’t hope that a business will fail but I do hope management will look at them as a way to improve their business. There are many wonderful successful restaurants in canton two of them on either side of you. There are a lot of places for local residents to choose from. Times are tough and people are becoming more choosy about where they spend their money. Instead of getting defensive and saying my experience was a lie, do better and improve. LISTEN to your customers. I don’t expect perfection. And yes I do have a lot of bad reviews. When a place has repeated bad experiences then that’s not going to get a great review. In many instances at shakers I have pulled management aside on the way out and told them great job! Unfortunately the last few visits haven’t been such. Best of luck! Have a...

Went early on a Saturday to celebrate a birthday with family. We had 5:30 reservations in hopes to beat the dinner rush as we had a few young kids with us. We got seated and as everyone was ordering drinks, we asked our waitress for a round of waters as we expected some wait time for cocktails. She asked if we were all going to actually drink water because the manager doesn’t like to give water out unless people are drinking it. Weird. I’ve never had this happen at any establishment in the past. Usually, water for the table is customary. Drinks took a while to come, but were tasty. We wanted to order appetizers, but as soon as the drinks were set down, our waitress was gone and not to be found. We waited and waited and finally got the spinach queso dip- which again was good. The timing of the food was perfectly fine and everything came out hot. However, after the food came out we didn’t see our waitress again for some time. Mind you, the restaurant was not packed. There were plenty of open tables and a lot of the servers were just standing around talking. Multiple times we had to ask other wait staff for plates, silverware, napkins as we could not find our waitress.
We finally ordered food and all needed another round of drinks. Again, the waitress was extremely slow but the food came out in a timely manner (brought to us by different wait staff than our waitress). Many of us would have ordered a third drink, but our waitress never came around to ask how the food was, if we needed anything, etc.
We were there to celebrate a birthday, and would have considered dessert had service been better. A lot of other places in the area offer free dessert for birthdays, not shakers. We did have children who at this point were getting exhausted so we passed on dessert (not that the waitress asked anyways).
When we asked for the bill, it took over 30 minutes to get our checks. I asked to speak to a manager, who was absolutely no help at all. I inquired about the water policy and he said “we are a business and are trying to make money. We don’t want people just drinking water.” Um what?! I’ve never heard this before. We all ordered 2 drinks, appetizers and full dinners. Obviously they are making money. Had the drinks come out faster, maybe we wouldn’t have needed the water.
When the bill came, the tip was already added - 18%. Absolutely ridiculous given the TERRIBLE service we had. The manager said he would “fix our bill” but did absolutely nothing.
I will never go back to this restaurant and will not recommend...

The staff Has amazing work ethic and shows. Quick seating, Checking on the table, making sure everything‘s good And fast pace. And I’m not talking every two seconds they make sure to give you your space while also checking in.
By the way, I wanna give a quick shout out to Abby and her sister Margo Who did a fantastic job! Also saying thank you so much to their manager, Krista Who employed such fine staff. ( All three ladies, I would give a definite raise too)
My kids enjoyed their food, felt welcomed and wasn’t rushed. My husband and I are on a diet, but that quickly went out the window when we enjoyed with the kids, dessert and oh my gosh, the Nutella donuts For and I’m not a really big ice cream person more sherbet, but the vanilla chef’s kiss.
I am going to stop my rant here in a moment, but I do need to say one last thing. Cane’s chicken has nothing on shakers chicken tenders. These things don’t need any sauce. Even five minutes of sitting on one of my kids plate who was watching the game more than eating they were still amazing. From the outside crisp fried skin (the seasoning and when I see seasoning, I’m not just talking salt and pepper I’m talking actual seasoning!!!) to the juicy tender meat Wow!!! Please don’t waste your time in that canes line go over to Shakers and get a REAL good meal for an amazing price. And these aren’t little bites either these things are huge like they’re raising a farm in the back.
My family and I left happy and definitely will be back. Shakers is the place to be. We’re not going anywhere else!!! Thank you ladies again will definitely be back. Thank you to the cooks in the kitchen and the bartender for...
