The only saving grace was a very sweet server. I hate to leave a terrible review because she was so nice. The food was the worse food I’ve had in a long time. Tempura was under cooked and soggy. Vegetable choices terrible and were undercooked and not cooked in enough batter. I did not know edamame could be bad, but it was. It’s like they pulled it out of a frozen bag with freezer burn and then over microwaved it. The bowls wasn’t even full. Just Terrible!! I ordered the shrimp dinner that was supposed to have grilled terrayaki veggies and shrimp with steamed rice. What I got was one giant onion chopped crudely and barely cooked in terriyaki sauce with 6 very small over cooked shrimp, two small pieces of broccoli and a few slices of carrot with a bowl of fried rice …. She brought the fried rice instead of steamed without asking and then asked if I wanted yum yum sauce. No. Just no. The dinner was18 something for basically an under cooked onion and few small overcooked shrimp. Absolutely TERRIBLE. I’ve never been served something so bad in a Japanese restaurant in my life. My mom ordered vegetable fried rice and it did not taste fresh. It was just barely Ok. She ate a little of it and felt sick rest of day. It was a huge serving, but with very little vegetables. This was a Friday lunch that cost us 60 dollars and we will NEVER ever return. I forgot to mention that their ginger dressing was only good thing we ate. The booth seats were completely blown out. Felt like I was going to fall into the seat. Time for a renovation and a new cook. This was the worse Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been in and I love Japanese food. The Bar area had potential, but not sure why glass was covered- my guess -...
Read more1st & last visit. Ordered take out for lunch. Waited at front and not one person acknowledged me. (only 2 tables seated in the restaurant). Sushi chef sitting on his phone. A guy (manager I presume) sitting in a booth on his phone. No servers out front. Had to go "disturb" the sushi chef to ask where to get my order (he didn't even look up when I stood at the sushi counter). One young man assembling the take out was nice enough but he didn't package my order. A woman did, and even asked if I had the salmon. Put it in the bag and said "this one is yours". Got to work and opened it. Nope - it was shrimp. Called & woman answered, was told I can come back and get a side piece of salmon since my order was right. UUMMM, no it wasn't right. I didn't order shrimp. I ordered SALMON! ON my 1/2 hour lunch at work, can't happen. Said "sorry. Next time I'll give you a side of salmon". Wont' be a next time. App sampler all tasted the same, like grease. All "sauces" are watered down like clear broth and straight watered down mayo. Salad dressing literally as thin as water & salad is one chunk of hard iceberg core. Didn't even bother trying the "soup" with one little mushroom slice in it. The "tempura vegetables" are basically burnt. California roll mostly cucumber. I would have been better off going to Publix for $5 sushi today instead of...
Read moreI recently had dinner at Hana Japanese Steakhouse for the 4th time, and once again, I was thoroughly impressed. This establishment consistently delivers a high-quality dining experience, combining delicious food with entertaining presentation and attentive service.
The hibachi chefs are true showmen, expertly preparing meals with impressive knife skills and engaging banter. The food itself is fresh and flavorful, with generous portions that leave you feeling satisfied. I particularly enjoy their steak and shrimp combination, which is cooked to perfection every time.
Beyond the hibachi grill, Hana offers a variety of other Japanese specialties, including sushi, tempura, and teriyaki dishes. Their sushi is always fresh and artfully presented, and the tempura is light and crispy.
The atmosphere at Hana is lively and welcoming, making it a great choice for a fun night out with friends or family. The service is consistently attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.
I highly recommend Hana Japanese Steakhouse to anyone seeking a delicious and entertaining Japanese dining experience. It's a local gem that I continue to return to and...
