My first experience with Perotta's was outstanding. We ordered a Sicilian through GrubHub and it was the best pizza/ cheat meal I had ever had. The crust was light and fluffy and not at all greasy. That happened about a month ago and I have been looking forward to another pizza. I even dreamed about it. Last Saturday, we decided it was time to order another pizza. This time I called and placed an order over the phone, because the slice online ordering said that the restaurant wasn't taking orders for pickup. No problem, I called the number and ordered a "Sicilian pizza and add goat cheese, prosciutto and sliced meatballs." I also asked for a side of balsamic glaze, because it is delicious. We picked up the pizza about 35 minutes later (which was the quoted pick up time) and I went in to get my pizza. It smelled heavenly and I asked the staff if my balsamic glaze was in there, and she said yes so I didn't bother opening the box. We drove 20 minutes to our home and when I opened the box, I notice there is NO cheese on it. Not only was it missing the goat cheese but the mozzarella too. I called back to see what had happened and the lady that answered the phone asked me for my name and I explained my problem. She said that I said no cheese and not goat cheese and that she had read it back to me. It was obvious that she was pushing all the blame on me, but the restaurant was loud when I called in the order and she was speaking fast. IN my order, I know I said the word ADD before listing the topping I wanted so I obviously would not have said add no cheese, prosciutto and sliced meatballs. That just doesn't make sense. Anyway, I was not planning on returning to the pizza place for a new pizza, I just wanted to let them know that I spent 25$ on a pizza and it was not what I had ordered. Needless to say, pizza is gross without mozzarella regardless of if my goat cheese made it or not. I tried to melt some colby slices that I had at home, which was not good. So, my pizza hit the trash can. I really want to love this place, but now I feel as if I was treated like I am stupid and do not know how to place an order. I am really sad that we may not return. I am writing this review for other goat cheese lovers, because no cheese and goat cheese sound very similar in my opinion and I hope others can get what...
Read moreI am going to base the review on a couple things. First the food is amazing. We have been there three times. This time my only disappointment was we order the caprese salad which is normally fresh mozzarella tomatoes and basil drizzled with balsamic glaze. The tomatoes were not fresh and barely red and there was only one basil leaf. I rather have been told we don't have caprese salad because we you felt the tomatoes were not fresh. That was my only issue with food thus far. Now my other is issue at night it gets busy. I understand that it is a small place but busy. It seemed when.we went on Friday night there wasn't anyone in.charge that we saw. All the young ladies and gentlemen were running around busy but there was no one watching the door to take names or anything. No one knew whether to stalk people as they were leaving to grab their own table or wait in hope's someone would notice them and seat them. The only other thing I saw was there were a lot of parties coming in that were 2 people. Yet they were being sat at a 4 or 6 top. If there was someone in charge they could have separated those tables to make room for a few more seatings instead of more and more people waiting. Those are just my observations. Again small but just something's I noticed. The food however is still amazing A friend of mine had the breakfast pizza with his family and they absolutely loved it. He said it was soooooo good. We will continue to eat here because it was incredible. Ps the young staff they have are all super sweet and do a great job I just think they need a little.more direction because of how busy...
Read moreFirst and last time here. Prices were high. Food was only mediocre. I ordered garlic knots and ravioli. The garlic knots are huge but not warm at all. The salad that came with my entree was tiny compared to what i expected when I saw the knots. The ravioli was only warm. The pizza we ordered was an average price i felt but $3.00 per regular topping was crazy! And that's just for standard toppings. Premium toppings were 4 or 4.50 each. Now, I didn't go in till 8:15 and they close at 9. With that being said, although there were at least 6 people on the floor, we might as well of waited on ourselves. After taking our order, our waitress never returned. Not to bring our food out. Not to check on us. Not to refill drinks.... nothing. We had to get up and ask for plates for the pizza (one of the girls that brought our food out took the ones we had on the table), we had to walk up to the counter/ bar and ask for refills on our drinks. It was ridiculous! I heard so many good things about this place and was very, very disappointed. I'm not even going to waste the money on a second chance. Had the food been really good, maybe but I did not think it was good enough for a 2nd chance. As far as the atmosphere goes, if you want to sit there and watch the kids on their phones and listen to all their drama... then it's the right place. I'd prefer to be waited on myself though. Especially at...
