The Pony Expresso — Restaurant in Canton

It’s all in the details ... the Pony Expresso is the only drive through coffee shop in Canton according to my dad so I had to stop by. They are set up in an old bank drive through - brilliant repurposing of space!! As I sat in the drive through 4 cars deep, I was immediately impressed with the details. The unique design coupled with an inviting covered porch made the wait time - which was pretty fast considering - enjoyable. I soaked in my surroundings. Just lovely. I did notice several walking in - they have a walk in order bar - small space but again - brilliant. The owner clearly thought through the details and did a great job from decore to the service. Our order was delivered quickly - I got a mocha with coconut milk and my daughter got a hot apple cider. Again - all in the details. There was a chocolate covered coffee bean on top of our cups. I’d never tasted one before and it was really good! One warning - the coffee is HOT. Like really HOT. I had to let mine cool off a bit before enjoying. I’ll definitely be back. I did not get anything here but my girlfriend did. It smelled very good and there is a nice looking outside patio area to enjoy. The selection seemed very large and they had all kinds of regular and house special type drinks.

The drive through took about 12 minutes and we noticed people going inside got their coffee faster than the drive through. Many people walked in, got their product, and left before we made it to the order window. There was also a line through the parking lot and to the road when we got there.

Overall, a long wait line could be a good thing or a bad thing. I would not call this a lack of effort by employees so i would place the wait as people who love their coffee. I like the hospitality and kindness of the employees and would return anytime regardless...

Love this place. Always enjoy coming here when I can and the service is always amazing. Also, the coffee that they use, I personally buy from them. Mainly since the local Brookshires sells only one flavor of the brand this place uses. The Pony Expresso sells all there flavors. That is a plus for me and totally worth the price that it is sold at. Since the coffee is from local coffee busniess Van Zandt Coffee. Amazing!! One thing I love is the stamp card. Which if your a regular and come in almost everyday.
