Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club — Restaurant in Canyon Lake

Brought family that was visiting from New York and Palm Springs and ended up waiting two and half hours for food! Our server started off nice however as hours went by our service experience decreased. We waited 2 and half hours for our food to come. She never apologized for the food being late! My grandmother’s order never even went to the Kitchen when we waited over three hours for her food!! It never came! Also it was not peak time, there weren’t any new customers coming in either. They were fully staffed and yet no one not even the manager helped!? The employees also stood around and talked to each other as if they weren’t at work while we waited 2 and a half hours for the first plate to come to the table.. You would think that they would treat a party of 20 people spending a lot of money with decent service or at least bring all the food that was ordered in a timely manner. But two hours!!?? Also the food was mediocre when it did come. I don’t understand how this restaurant is surviving. This was such an embarrassing experience to bring family here and be disappointed. Will never come back or recommend anyone to dine here! If your here to play golf then eat before you come unless you like paying for...

We held/attended a "celebration of life" memorial here recently for my wife's father and it pretty much went off without any problems. Thankfully. The dining hall is spacious, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere overall. The servers were polite, professional and friendly.(especially the one woman pictured.. I didn't get her name..) Granted I was not completely immersed in the detailed planning of the event but from what I witnessed first-hand it went rather easily and I did not hear of any problems from those who were. (Though there was some issue with the sound at first??). The food was alright (from what little I ate of it). Not spectacular but good nonetheless. There's plenty of parking spaces in front, well lit and secure. Overall the celebration was a success....

Went there on at Saturday 10:30am for food. Ended up having to wait 20 minutes. No one even approached us. I had to find someone to seat us. We were the first people in line with 9 people behind us. They weren't crowded and there were many open tables. Seemed very short staffed. Food took 20 more minutes to come out. Waitress was nice but I had to go find her to get the check. Didn't seem like there was any manager on site. My husband says everytime he comes he has to wait long periods to be seated. View of golf course was nice though. Many tables had leftover dishes sitting on them that weren't cleaned up the entire time we were there. I just wrote it off to not having enough people staffed to work or a manager there on a Saturday. ...
