Buyer beware. The sign on the wall said $5.25 for two dips. I ordered two dips in a waffle cone, no toppings or anything else extra. The check out girl said my charge was $13.23, so without thinking I gave her a $10 plus a $5. As she placed my money in the cash drawer however, I asked how did it come to $13.25 when the sign on the wall say $5.25 for two dips? She casually said the owner had changed the prices but had not yet changed the sign. She then just starred at me and did not offer or give me change for my $15 payment. I walked out stunned. I wish I had the wherewithal to hand the cone back and ask for my money back. It doesn’t matter how good anything else was when you feel the service and/or business ethics were totally inappropriate. This site makes you give at least one star but honestly zero stars from me.

I stand by my review. It is an accurate description of my experience. Upon seeing the owner's response to my review, I called and asked to speak to the owner. I left my number but never received...

I typically don't like talking bad about places, especially small local businesses, but when I went here with my family, my wife commented "They didn't like you." The place is pretty nice and the food is OK, but I just got the weirdest feeling from the staff. When going to small businesses I will ask what is local (as a lot of the times businesses will make a few items there and purchase others outside) and the woman working there said "everything here is made here," in a tone that felt like "F-U, man." I explained I wasn't from there and wouldn't know these things, which was met with a "pfft" from the woman. My strawberry milkshake (which I was told is popular) was good, so for that I give the place a good food rating, but overall, I didn't get a good...

We got a Banana milkshake, a Red Velvet milkshake, and a Cookie Butter milkshake. We were incredibly disappointed to see that the flavors were just syrups that were pre-made and added to the ice cream when they put it in the shake machine. The banana taste like those gross fruit shaped candy bananas that you get out of the machines for 25¢ at a store. The Red Velvet was very sweet but did not taste like Red Velvet. The Cookie Butter tasted like black coffee, NOTHING like actual Cookie Butter! It was $24 for 3 milkshakes. We were really excited to try this creamery, support a local small business, and the aesthetic was very cute but unfortunately we did not have a...

I went to Cowlicks Creamery and got one scoop of ice cream in a cone. Except… there was literally no ice cream in the cone—just a scoop plopped on top like they were balancing it for a circus act. When I went back inside to point out there was nothing in the cone, they gave me a blank, almost annoyed stare, acted like I was the problem, and then actually laughed when I walked out. I have never once been to an hand dipped ice cream place and received a sad cone like this. Unprofessional, rude, and apparently proud of serving half-empty cones. Save your money and go to Brown Dog, or anywhere else that takes customer service—and basic ice cream scooping—seriously.

You come across this delightful town and craving some cool ice cream. This is definitely the place to come too. You walk inside and are just welcomed with the sweet smell of ice cream. There is a limited menu of the ice cream but that goes to show how fresh the ice creams really are. The flavors are very unique, it’s not usual flavors you would see in Baskin Robbins or other ice cream places you would usually visit. The taste of the ice cream is self is incredible, it’s very rich and tastes absolutely sweet. This Ice Cream place is definitely worth coming to if you are in the area of Virginia! Delicious!! We got a flight of flavors (every ice cream place should do this, haha) and they were all delicious (cookies and cream, black raspberry truffle, and coffee chocolate chip). This is the place to go for ice cream in Cape Charles. We went to the "hot spot" down the street the day before and were very disappointed. So when we got Cowlick's we were more impressed and their prices are lower. This should definitely take over as the place to go!!
