This was our 4th time dining here. Bellini's is on the very top of the scale. Let's start with Andrea Mucciga the owner who greets everyone as they come in. His love of the culture/family he has and is creating is heartwarming and admirable. His servers, chefs, and bartenders are in the top 10. One evening we sat at the bar meeting Danny who served us from scratch cocktails using freshly squeezed juices. He shared great cocktail recipes with us and made amazing espresso martinis. We have had two servers. Ricky who is outstanding. We shared stores about growing up in Maine to what were some of his recommendations on the menu. Michael who is again outstanding and a pleasure to talk to has been with Andrea since his first restaurant on Captiva. All 3 of these people reflected their love of their career and how great it was to work for this family and love what you do while surrounding yourself with good people. Last and certainly not least is Paul Rozmus-the very talented musician. His vibrance and Joie de vivre is shown through the flute and keyboard and is very impressive. Read moreLast night we joined two friends in welcoming the new Bellini's to Fort Myers. The location is great for easy access and has valet parking. The two dining rooms are distinctively different but both have live music and the less formal room has dancing as well.
The menu selection has a great variety to fit every appetite. I chose the Scallops which had a fantastic bed of sauce, fork tender and full of flavor. My wife had the seafood wellington which was beautiful and a creative mix served with a delicious brown sauce that was well paired with the seafood.
Bellinis had a fine selection of wine and mixed drinks too.
We have been looking forward to the opening for many months and were not disappointed. Can't wait to go back to try their Tapas menu which is available from 4 to 6 PM. Valet is a scourge on the plaza. This lot is NOT big enough for your small-time big-egos.
Edit to reply: It is completely acceptable to form opinions around a businesses practice. It’s not unfounded when multiple people have reviewed for the same reason. Get rid of valet, maybe the reviews will end up being more than a 4.0. But while we’re on the topic: how do you justify blocking off the only U-Turn spot? Labelling it “Valet Only beyond this point.” Or how your valet stand sticks out halfway into the road creating jams in an already small parking lot.
