China Tokyo Express — Restaurant in Cape Coral

Last Update WE HAVE BEEN BACK 2 MORE TIMES SINCE LAST UPDATE. Quality and Quantity has dropped substantially. I am really disappointed our first visit was amazing. Looking for new Chinese Restaurant.

2nd Update You know how when you go to a restaurant and everything is AMAZING! then you go back with great expectations only to be greatly disappointed. Well this happened. :( Called in a order at 5:00 pm Opening time for Sunday. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Showed up to get our order and there were 2 others picking up orders and another sit in couple. I paid for our food as the guy told me it was almost ready. While I sat and waited another 15 minutes. All customers had left and several delivery orders went out. I finally asked if my order was ok? They said yes it is coming right up. another 10 minutes went by before I finally received our dinners. I live just 2 blocks from restaurant. When we got home and opened our dinners The PUPU Platter was cold both egg rolls, both chicken wings, both ribs both crab rangoons the only thing hot was the 2 pieces of shrimp. I opened the shrimp fried rice and it to was barley warm you could tell by color and texture of rice and veggies it was reheated. Opened the lg Rib plate and we usually receive 9 in a lg order. There was 9 but two of them were about as big as my pinky with a even smaller piece of meat on them. I was very disappointed !!!! I called to voice my opinion and was pretty much met with denial and then just left on phone while everyone was yelling in chinese in the back ground. I just hung up. I have dropped my rating from a 5 to a 3 Will give it one more try. Hopefully it was just a bad day. I will rate it again after next visit.

1st Review Chinese food is one of our favorites! We are new to the area and have tried 4 or 5 other chinese food restaurants we were not satisfied. We have been to China Tokyo 2 times and have found our FAVORITE!!!!! Food is very fresh every vegetable taste fresh picked even in the fried rice each pea,carrot,onion taste fresh cut . I was truly surprised when I came in to pick it up early and caught them peeling fresh shrimp for my shrimp fried rice which was cooked to perfection. !!! AWESOME!!!! Definitely give them a 5 star. Ordered my food had to repeat my order 6 times they confirmed it multiple times. I waited over an hour to come home and im missing a bunch of my order. Reason i had to wait over an hour was because they messed up other orders ahead of me. To Make matters worse i called to complain and guy argued with me about what i ordered and what i had. Lets be real here obviosly im not going to complain if i have everything. I still feel as though i was over billed for what i received. They are only refunding some of the order the 5 bucks for egg rolls. Plus when they rang up order they underbilled me and made me write in difference in tip section for rest of order. I gave up. This place is horrible save your money. I would have been more forgiving if they were willing to make it right but if i could give them negative 5 stars i would. I spent over 50 bucks two nights in a row and last night was ok they got my order to me in its entirety but the thai was awful and dry. Tonight was the worst experiance i ever had in my life and as a second time customer this is my last. Worst experiance in my life. Considering the money i spent between today and yesterday i hope it was worth loosing us as customers. If they took care of us i probably would have come back and been forgiving of the mistake but to cheat me out of my money is sad. I would have been repeat customer if they took care of me but at this point they can keep the 15.25 they basically stole. I was missing 12 sushi rolls 4 egg rolls and pad thai noodles. Only thing they still forgot to charge for apparently was pad thai noodles but i never got them even though she confirmed multiple times after order placed that i wanted extra sauce. They billed me and never refunded the missing sushi rolls i only got 12 out of 24 and they even forgot...

We just moved to the area and we were feeling some late night Chinese Takeout. I'm very particular about food and once I find a place I like I tend to go there and only there. We're without a vehicle temporarily and this place is literally right around the corner. Decided we would take a chance. No regrets! Hubby got the Pepper Steak Combo and said it was delicious. I was feeling something different than I would usually order since we were trying a new place anyway. Decided on the Bourbon Chicken Combo and substituted egg fried rice. I don't order Bourbon Chicken a lot because it tastes different everywhere you go and not always for the better. I loved it! Decent sized pieces of chicken and the container was so full I could only less than half. I never eat egg rolls because I don't like them and never think about substitutions. Lately though I have been retrying things to see if maybe I could enjoy them now. I didn't eat the egg rolls but I took more than one bite and believe I could eat the whole thing if I had something like sweet and sour to dip it in.

The person who took our order on the phone was very friendly. We had special requests on the Pepper Steak and she got it perfect. The delivery driver was very polite and friendly as well. Promised delivery on 30-40 minutes and they were here in less than 20. Very great...
