I feel like the ice cream quality when down since having opened up new locations. It use to be really good, there is grittiness to the ice cream and flavors that shouldn’t taste like mint did. Just odd. They offer military discount. The girl that was working was super kind. It was clean inside, there’s restrooms, plenty of seating (which was always needed lol). There are binders for different states and countries to which you can write in. If you donate your Military patches, License plates (Motorcycle, car, etc.), College pennants you can receive a free small cup of ice cream.
It was also unfortunate that salted caramel bacon wasn’t available though it was listed. They also sell Wild About Popcorn, which is a popcorn store located in the area. There’s so many of flavors to choose from. You can sample any of the ice cream flavors. The ice cream possibilities are truly endless here being mixing flavors, making milk shakes, having a cone or a bowl, enjoying a snack sized portion over a large one, you can also get coffee here, there’s malt/float/freezie/ice cream soda. You can purchase a pint for $11 or quart for $16. There’s also sundaes and seasonal ice cream flavors. The menu has indication on what ice creams contain nuts, gluten and both nuts and gluten.
The one thing I always wished the menu entailed was a printed copy that specified what flavors are the ice creams, some ice creams say what they are while others have fancy name. For example - what is birthday cake? Is that like funfetti or vanilla? What is blue moon? What all is in dirty turtle? What even is Elvis lol!? What’s in gator tracks and grasshopper? Love the fun names but I need a description! Especially if there was a long line - I hate having to ask what’s in all different ice cream flavors.
I don’t think I would do this loveboat again unless it was the Fort Myers location - maybe the ice cream quality at the original...
Read moreFor some reason, I went to edit my review. I was never able to order, so please disregard my score on my food!! ZERO STARS!! I have to agree with 2 of the first 3 reviews I read. Myself; along with my wife and her father, who unfortunately suffers from Alzhiemers with Alzhiemers related Dementia, decided to visit for dessert after lunch. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE NIGHTMARE. The place was absolutely packed and only had 1 young female working; again, post lunch AND ON A SATURDAY TO BOOT!! We arrived around 12:45pm and after roughly 30 minutes of waiting, we decided to go elsewhere. Taking care of a loved one with Alzhiemers and severe Dementia in an understaffed, overcrowded Ice Cream place on an extraordinarily hot Saturday, after lunch was a little....well, too much for him to withstand. I definitely had to agree with the person who happened to post about the time needed for the owners to buy their Yacht. To the owners I say, unless you hire more staff, it's gonna be awhile! We weren't the only people getting fed up with waiting and leaving to go somewhere else. Needless to say, there's no way I could comment on the food.....we we never given the...
Read moreIce cream was good! The service was terrible unfortunately. I went in with my family at around 8:30, we understand it’s the end of the night and I’m sure the girls are ready to go home, understandably. But my nephew asked for 3 different samples (we weren’t going to let him try more) and the server was obviously extremely annoyed and very much showed it on her face/rolled her eyes. My boyfriend tried one sample and I didn’t because at that point felt like I couldn’t and really just didn’t want anything at that time with the way she was acting. Ice cream was good but the servers were just very condescending. I understand the ice cream business and really do understand at night that it can be frustrating or maybe she just had a long day but that was frustrating as a mom just trying to enjoy the end of our night after a...
