Outback Steakhouse, Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

I was hankering for red meat...I needed some beef..

I order a medium rare ribeye, mash taters and string beans.

I was given fresh hot bread. Note: only a few steak houses and Italian joints give free bread now a dayz.

My ribeye came perfectly cooked. Well marbled and tasty, The taters were good,plus green beans had a slight crunch...

My server Loretta did an outstanding job.

I will be back again.

I am part of their rewards program. After going 4 times I get 50% off a meal. SO my ribeye cost 20 bucks.

NOTE...( The professional writers out suggest you order rib eye. You get your bang for your buck)

Here you get a freshly baked bread and butter. At no charge.Which is an oddity theses dayz. But so welcome.

I ordered the top of the line bone in rib eye. I must say a small bone. Grilled to a perfect medium rare. With garlic mash taters and a beverly of seasonal veggies. Excellently cooked. The service was great and well pace.

For a chain restaurant they did an outstanding job.

Steak was big enough for me to have a second meal. MMMM a carnivore delight.

Over all I was delighted. I will .return

The food. I went with the now heavily ad of a 18 oz. Top Sirloin, med. rare of course. $23.00

It was cooked properly though the cook had a hard time getting there. You can tell by the marred seared lines. It was tender enough & big enough for a steak sandwich at home. Veggies were good.

Oh yes the tortilla soup was spicy due to the extra cumin.

Of course one of the few places that offer free hot bread still.Love this!!!!!

My server Anna was outstanding. Attentive helpful and professional.

The food. 6 oz. top sirloin, side of fresh veggies, a drink( beer or pop) $9.99 on Wednesday only. Ahhh ole fashioned times, a warm loaf of fresh bread/butter, More if you ask. A medley of fresh veggies steamed just right. The surprise, a cooked to a perfect medium rare top sirloin, that was very tender. In this day it is nice to find a reasonable and good tasting steak. Service and entire staff were great

3/3/2014 Well I have not been to an Outback in many moons.... I was surprised & disappointed.

First the great. My server Danielle & her shadow, Anna did an outstanding job. Anticipated my request and need of drink & such. BUT Anna failed my pop quiz of... WHY are there no PRICES of drinks on the menu??? And who regulates that? Anna responded that all menus are same country wide.. a good save for a newbie. LOL

2nd the Bloomin Onion was bigger than I recall served hot & delish. Too much for me to eat a doggy bag item

The green bean were sauté and spiced correctly the Aussie fries crisp and season well.

Now my disappointment ,10 ounce rib eye. The cook did an wonderful and outstanding procedure of a classic medium rare... It was the steak it self, It was not flavorable nor did it have the proper marbling. And that why I tried it. Sorry a thumbs done on the buyer.

Over all a good job. BUT I come for the main entrée...

So we decided to have dinner at Outback last night. We eat here probably once a month or so. Food and service were good as normal. We pay for our meal and waitress says we are all set and for us to have a good night. We are headed to our truck when the waitress comes running out of the store saying our payment did not go through. We are walked back into the busy restaurant where we are now the center of attention with the waitress saying our payment did not go through. We proceed to show the receipt where the payment DID go through and also showed my bank account where the money had been taken out. The server went to the back and came back shortly stating the manager wanted to talk to us. So after several embarrassing minutes, the manager decides to stroll on out and proceed to tell us our payment did not go through and perhaps we were mistaken. I again showed the proof of payment to the manager who really did not care. Finally, after several trips to the back and then back out, they were finally able to see that the payment had gone through as they proceeded to complain about the restaurant's WiFi and blamed that for the error. No ma'am, your poor handling of the situation with your lack of resolution abilities led to this. I have never been more embarrassed in my 52 years on this earth. As I previously stated, we eat here about once a week. With all this being said, last night will be our FINAL visit to Outback. We will drive to Texas Roadhouse where patrons are treated with respect. I will also be contacting Outback Corp. office...

We stopped in for a late lunch after a meeting. Just another normal lunch, but this lunch was different, our waiter was pleasant and greeted us right away. Our drinks were brought out promptly, he noticed our menus had been placed down, so he came over to take our orders. Most waiters would have bothered us and asked if we were ready, while still looking at the menu. Our waiter had the special spark about him, he listened to our orders, he did not interrupt, another sign of a waiter who goes the extra mile. Because of that interaction no one’s orders were wrong. Our drinks were always filled, when he checked on us he paid attention to anticipate what we might ask for, when he asked what dressing I wanted I asked to have extra ranch, when my second unlimited salad came out, he wanted to make sure I had enough ranch. He made us feel like we were his only table. Never had an empty drink, never needed for anything. Again he paid attention to us knowing our meal was coming to an end, asked us if we were interested in any desserts. I haven’t had that kind of service in a really long time. It’s hard to find waiters who really pay attention. We never really think of outback, but like I said it was a late afternoon and we had a long meeting and were hungry. We will be back as long as Eli B is working there. Thanks for giving us a great afternoon lunch and restoring our faith in...
