Dropping in on Saturday evening, no wait, place was empty other than a pickup order while I ate.

Ordered the 10” Cheesesteak with mushrooms added as an up charge, plus the meal.

The cheesesteak was traditional style, same as Jersey Mikes which I’d put as direct competition menu wise. The sandwich was good, filling even, but the mix of meat was dryer than I’d prefer on the upper half which lacks flavor, the lower third portion having the cheese was much better. The negative is the lack of overall flavor to the meat, positive being a little more healthy with less cheese and oil. The portion of meat was good, though I was expecting more for the mushroom I ordered, not even really visible.

Staff were nice and friendly. Given how slow they were I would’ve expected more effort to clean tables or the drink area, but likely just waiting to do it at closing.

Overall, pretty comparable to Jersey Mikes, average cheesesteak faire, but convenient if you’re shopping at the mall with plenty of seating and parking outside.

#1 Complaint, get rid of the giant sized paper straws and bring back tried and true plastic ones. The paper straws make the drinks taste awful, oversized, and start falling apart.

Updated 10/25/2024: Tried Lenny’s again, ordered a 7.5inch Philly cheesesteak and a 5inch meatball sub. The Phill cheesesteak was actually good this time, tasted pretty fresh but it was definitely lacking onions and cheese. The meatball sub was okay but the meatballs tasted a bit old and the sauce was pretty flavorless…just canned tomato sauce with frozen meatballs that taste like maybe they had them yesterday and put them in the fridge to reuse today…I don’t know, just tasted cheap for the price I paid for a 5inch sub. Also the 7.5inch sub was definitely not 2.5inch longer than the meatball so I felt a little bit ripped on that. Keeping it at 2 stars. About 2 years ago, this place used to be great but it really has went downhill since then.

I’m really sad. I used to LOVE ordering Philly cheesesteaks from here, we ordered them very often but last week I received a GROSS Philly cheesesteak. It was so hard I couldn’t chew it, it was clearly meat from the night before as I had ordered right when they opened. I had ordered from Ubereats (like I always do) and they denied my refund because it’s “ineligible for a refund” whatever that means. I tried to call the store and no one answered so I wrote them on Twitter and instagram and no one wrote back. It was so bad I’m having a hard time ordering...

Four stars for the cheese steak. One star for what the place looked like during the day. Just about every table had remnants of previous use. There was litter all over the floors. The trash can was busting over with food when I tried to discard my wrappings. I watched employees chatting in the back area, one on the phone leaning on the counter back to the front of the room. Someone should have been wiping tables, putting chairs in place, picking up the debris all over the floor. A group of about six ladies left and the table was left as is for the entire time we were there eating. Again, great cheese steaks but I worry about the basics of cleanliness from what I saw today.
