I have quite a bit of Sushi experience while residing in Jacksonville since my partner in crime introduced me and I enjoy about as much as she did. I ordered through door dash so I’m not sure if the normal pricing is in effect but I ordered and received the bam bam shrimp which was good but the shrimp were closer to popcorn size, the sauce for it was quite delicious. Next up was the Enter the Dragon Sushi roll and it did not disappoint! Great tasting fresh product, although the shrimp/yum yum sauce was too runny for my liking. The Volcano Scallops were ok, it was hard to get a taste for them with the product being deep fried with a mass of shaved imitation crab on the top, I found myself eating it separately. Last up was the shrimp and filet hibachi and I was disappointed to start with at the amount of vegetables provided. The protein was about what I would expect to typically get but the shrimp were on the smaller side, although good, while the filet I ordered rare to medium rare, came out medium to well, I would have sent back if I had dined in, and was dry and chewy. I’m sorry but for the $30 cost, mind you I regularly paid $15-$20 in Jacksonville and received many more vegetables as well as fried rice and sometimes they would even provide noodles and a salad along with soup. After spending nearly $100 for just those items I came away unimpressed. Me be you I still had enough for 3 different meals for myself. If it were not for the very good clear soup I’d have given them a 2 but I’ll be generous and give them a 3 since it was my wife’s Birthday and in honor of her, I ordered Sushi and hibachi which was a...
Read moreSupper disappointed. I always get pick up orders and spend around 50$ or more an order every time I order . They had the best sushi in all of Cape Coral untill my last pickup order. Which the sushi I picked up was ice cold and normally it is hot and warm. This clearly had been sitting in a fridge all day. Perhaps they made it the same day and call it fresh but the fresh they used to make the rice wasn’t hard and sour from sitting in a fridge and the tempura around the shrimp was hard and chewy and all those things happen with refrigeration. So basically I feel ripped off because I can go to Publix and grab refrigerator sushi for cheap. Only reason I bought from yellowfin was because I have been getting pick up orders from them for the past 2 years and even send many of my friends to dine there. I always picked up my sushi warm and the food was never left sitting in a fridge all day. Needless to say this longtime customer will not be doing pickup orders on sushi anymore. I can find the same hard sour refrigerator sushi rice at Publix and just grab and go. Really sad the quality went down on the to go orders. I won’t be returning . Lost my favorite sushi spot. Really disappointed. I’m sure if you eat inside though they will make it fresh on the spot. I think they just changed things for the pickup orders which is disappointing because I pay the same amount and I always tip well when I pickup my food....
Read moreWe got there and their was the tables besides ours for lunch today. Two had their food already and the other table got their food nit too long after we got there. All three tables only had two people. We ordered our sushi at 1p.m. and did not get it for almost THIRTY FIVE MINUTES!!!! When we did get it, mine was the wrong roll. I explained to our waitress that I ordered the red dragon with the tuna not the green dragon, which had eel. She said she wrote down the green dragon but did remember me saying no eel on my other roll also so she would get me the other roll. I explained to her that I did not want to wait another half hour, (we were now one of two tables left and they were leaving also). She assured me it would not. Almost 15 minutes later, she brought me the green dragon, without the eel, but no tuna. It was a California Roll and told me the chef said I should just order the California roll next time it would be cheaper. I explained again that I wanted the Red Dragoon Roll with the tuna but forget it she can take this roll back. She brought us athecheck and told me she wouldn't charge me for the roll that was wrong (twice). No apology for the wrong orders or for making us wait an incredible amount of time-TWICE-for our sushi. ...
