This was our 3rd time eating here over the past 4 or so years & it will be our last. The restaurant environment was extremely chaotic & uncomfortable. The temperature in the building is always too warm & stuffy to the point that it is uncomfortable while eating. I once overheard other customers that were seated at the table next to us also complaining of the temperature being too warm. This last time we ate there I requested Diet Pepsi to drink & was given regular Pepsi. The first time we ate there I requested sweet tea & was given unsweet tea. We usually request a booth at every restaurant we eat, but there was no booth seating available at this restaurant at the time which is fine we completely understand restaurants aren't always able to accommodate people with seating if it's busy. The table the waitress sat us at was pushed up against a wall with a corner in a little knook area & had very little wiggle room to move around or get in/out of. It was a very small tight fitting area. The first time we ate there the food was decent. Not the best Chinese or Asian food we have eaten, but it was still good. However, the past 2 times we have eaten there, we were disappointed with the food. It's been bland & not that great of quality. This last time, my husband said the noodles had a chemical type taste. The staff however does provide excellent customer service & has always been kind. Always smiling & we have always been greeted with kindness which is why we still tipped well even though the food & environment were not all that great. I wanted so bad to like this restaurant because we visit Cape a lot & we have yet to find a good chinese type restaurant in Cape that we like. Several years ago I use to eat at a restaurant in Cape called China Pearl(I believe that was the name of it), but unfortunately it went out of business. We have not had any luck finding good Chinese or Asian cuisine buffet in the Cape area. We live an hour away & typically choose Buffalo Wild Wings, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, or Culver's to eat at when we are in the Cape area. When it comes to Asian/Chinese cuisine, we prefer to travel to Poplar Bluff to eat at Chins. Chins is very good, a lot of room to move around, temperature is comfortable, & food is...
Read moreThis place is bad. Worst buffet in the area.
I've been in this place three times. The first time was shortly after they opened, the second time was about 2 years ago and the third time was last week.
Turn our first trip everything was great the food was fresh, the quality was good, the service was good and it was actually the best buffet in the cape area.
The second time was a little less of everything I just listed but the third time, last week was absolutely horrible.
How can you have a flat top Mongolian style grill where you can actually create your own food and have absolutely zero sauces to choose from. No garlic, no soy, no nothing. Granted the cooks probably throw some sort of oil on there and soy whatever behind the counter but you have nothing to choose from.
I tried to put some soy sauce packets on it or Sriracha the only thing that they had to try to make it palatable and I took a couple bites and I pushed the plate aside it wasn't very good at all.
Better when I tried to grab some of the items that were sitting in warmer trays and I tried various things chicken dishes steak dishes beef dishes and they were all low quality and inferior and I just wasn't happy with anything.
I sunk so low that I just ate some of the rolls and some french fries and chicken nuggets and then had a couple bowls of ice cream and I just wanted to get out of there I'll...
Read moreWe tried this place tonight. It's a beautiful place. Remodeled well. I was going to give a 4 until the end. The reason I was going to give a 4 was because of the way the employees just run out in front of people. Especially while we are carrying food. Myself and my son almost smashed food into ourselves and into others because they jet around without any care for the customers. It's an unorganized mess. The food was very good and my husband and I were talking about how it's great and we will be back. But as we finished, it went down hill. The waitress completely ignored our table. Never filled our waters, kept walking looking at all tables, looked at ours multiple times but never came over. Which she was busy so we dismissed that. But we finished up and had to sit for 15 minutes waiting on our ticket. My husband tried to get her attention 3 times. She gave everyone else around us tickets. When he tried to get her attention the 3rd time and she completely ignored him after even looking at him, that was it. We got up found someone else and asked for our ticket. Then the lady stood there like she didnt know what the other lady was talking about. I finally had to say, can we just have our dang ticket so we could pay and leave?
It was a mess there. The employees are what killed the experience for us and I dont know that we...
