I enjoyed my stay here. And I'm extremely particular about my hotels. After I was granted an early check-in, thank you, Eric, I headed up to my nice room with comfortable furniture. This place is swanky for Cape. The Kickback is worth the stop if you're around the hotel for it. The menu rotates throughout the week. It was bbq sliders when I stayed. Nothing heavy but holds you over until dinner. It's not a full bar, but you can order some basic cocktails, beer, and wine. Free drinks are limited to three. If you get a double, that counts as two. They have a small store just around the corner from the front desk with snacks and even some beer. I was surprised at the number of items they offer. The layout of the room leaves plenty of room to move around in the living room area. There is a balcony on the 8th floor, but nothing really interesting to look at. But if you need to get out of the room, it's something to do. The 8th floor is also home to guest laundry and the fitness center. I was visiting family in the hospital nearby, and the corner the hotel is located in was a little awkward to come and go often. My room was on the far northwest side of the hotel (interstate side). If you're a light sleeper, I highly recommend requesting an odd numbered room. The noise was difficult to ignore.

First, this is a beautiful building and the first floor areas are very tastefully done. Rooms are comfortable as are the beds and everyone we had contact with was great. What did concern us was almost no one and I mean guests had masks on even though there are signs throughout that ask you to wear one. The morning we left there were 50+ people in the breakfast area and no masks among them. The room we were in was 717 and said it was a king deluxe. What made it deluxe? I have no idea other than being on the 7th floor and cost. The bathroom light is motion controlled so when you go potty in the middle of the night, the light pops on and since a full length mirror is on the wall opposite bathroom, the light is reflected directly on the bed. There is no closet. I posted a picture of what serves as one. It isn't long enough for a blouse to hang fully. If you have dress clothes, they are not going to fit. There is an outside area above the 7th floor so you can hear people walking or running around. And dragging chairs. No doubt this is a nice place to stay but next trip down we'll go back to Hampton inn.

Our first stay at Drury Inn and nothing but pleasant surprises. Considering price, location, room, housekeeping and facilities, this overnight stay exceeded all of our expectations. There is a nice restaurant attached however our stay included a happy hour and a simple buffet dinner which was good and more than adequate for an on the road meal. Too bad I could not enjoy the free libations however the virgin mary was tasty. Notably, my interaction began with the Drury App support when I contacted them to fix my pfat pfinger typo in my name. Took just a few minutes to get it corrected. We will be looking at Drury properties for our future travels in the CONUS. Also notable was that our King Suite had an adult height “commode”. My knees are feeling the love.

Our room was awesome. However, we were here for my Birthday, just my significant other and I. I would have liked to have known that there was going to be a bunch of kids, for a sports event. It seemed like there was kids all over being loud, and jumping on the floor. When we did our reservation, we booked a top floor room, but when we arrived, our room wasn't ready, and there would have been a 30 minute wait. We decided to go with the room that was available. We regret that decision. We could hear kids jumping and being loud on the floor we were on, as well as the floor above us. I will say that Monica was very professional, and was trying to make parents keep an eye on their children, which you can only do so much when parents let their children do anything they want, and children lack common decency. At 10:20 I had to say something to the kids and one adult outside of our room for being too loud. I didn't want to call the front desk, which it seemed like they became quiet afterwards. For any parent that was there on January 23rd to January 24th, please learn to keep your children in check. We didn't get enjoy the jacuzzi, because there was too many kids. I wanted a kid free weekend as I'm a parent myself, but I didn't get that. At 7AM I was awoken by kids running down the hallway. We did enjoy the breakfast, the kickback, and the restuarant. We noticed on the night of January 23rd that there was adults drinking in the walkway by the front desk, and being loud. With the pandemic that alarmed me. Again, I do understand that the public sucks, and most lack common decency, but maybe enforce it a little more. For the most part, we enjoyed our stay in our room, just the kids really got to us. I ask that you let people know that there is going to be an event going on. If we would have known that, we would have went to another...

Arrived for a wedding on a Saturday. There were two wedding parties there, and our wedding party needed to leave by 330 to get to the ceremony on time. We arrived at the hotel around 2:30, thinking we could get into a room right away and start getting ready. When we arrived, the front desk told us that no rooms were available yet because they were still being cleaned. When I asked again 15-20 minutes later, they said there were still zero rooms available. At this point, I asked the front desk what their early check-in policy is, and they said first come, first serve.

This policy makes NO sense when there are priorly scheduled obligations at the hotel. If you know two wedding parties are staying at your hotel that day, wouldn't it make sense to keep the early check-ins reserved for those parties? There were multiple families from the wedding waiting to get a room longer than we waited, and they only ended up getting 5-10 minutes to get ready for a WEDDING before they had to leave.

The first come, first serve policy on a day when you KNOW there will be many people trying to check in around 3 pm is just terrible organization from the upper levels... These days need to have early check-ins reserved for the appropriate parties. I hope this hotel is able to learn from this mistake...
