My Daddy's Cheesecake Bakery and Cafe — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

I bought a $30 cake. I took the cake home and put it on our kitchen counter. After an hour or so, I went back to put the cake in the refrigerator and noticed the icing on the sides had ran down the sides of the cake. The cake layers were fully visible. My wife and I both were witnesses to this. Our house temperature stays 68 degrees Fahrenheit and the icing should not run down the sides at that temperature. The cake was unfit for presentation to anyone with exposed layers. I called and spoke to a worker named Courtney the next day. I explained what happened and she said they would remake the cake. When arrived, I was told they would not remake the cake. Neither I nor my family will ever patronize this organization again. We have spent many dollars at this restaurant over the last 17 years,...

I had the privilege of having ate his cheese cake when he was still working at SEMO and making them for friends. I also remember the small shop on main street where he first opened his doors (Look for black and white tile down town) After moving to this location it was a favorite spot of my Grandparents Forrest & Vonda.

My Daddy's Cheese Cake isn't just a pop up sandwich shop its a testament to following a dream and building something positive in your community that transcends generations.

Like my Grandpa I prefer the Rubin, and like Memaw I love the turtle cheesecake. Though he would have gotten Key Lime or cherry and she would have gotten A Club Sandwich.

Ohhhh mmmmyyy! It's a MUST-GO-TO! Even if you must travel out of your way to get there! Their cheesecake selection is crazy huge! They also have other bakery items that are decadent!!!!

They also can create custom orders for their clients at reasonable prices. I asked about that process and the baker was so cordial. She answered all of my questions with ease.

I bought a sample selection to share with family, and I enjoyed their chocolate chip cheesecake pictured here. I noticed that they have a special room off to the side that is either for overflow dining or maybe for special events. It looks like a banquet room, but I didn't ask.
