Flame Bar And Grill — Restaurant in Carbondale

I am a Carbondale native visiting from out of state this summer, not that that matters. On Friday, 7/16 I ordered a ribeye steak, baked potato, side of green beans and Mac n cheese. When I got home I had two baked potatoes and NO Mac n cheese. I spoke with the manager and was offered an apology and the option to drive back to the restaurant to pick up the Mac n cheese. That was not an option for me because #1 I was already home and like my food hot, especially my steak and #2 I stay on the other side of town. I again was offered an apology and no other resolution. I, me, myself, had to ASK for another solution/refund. This was not offered to me which is absolutely incredible. The manager offered to refund my credit card $2. I'm sorry but for not one second do I believe a side of Mac n cheese is $2, especially when a side of mushrooms and Bleu cheese for the steak is $4. I think I know why I was offered a $2 refund but I'll keep that to myself. I also don't believe it was believed the order was messed up and that I may have been lying because the manager said he heard the order repeated when it was made which has absolutely nothing to do with the kitchen messing up an order. Plus when giving my order it took 6 mins to place my order because someone was training on the phone and made a mistake. I want to be fair and say the steak was good as well as the sides but the customer service based on my order being incorrect was very disappointing to put it nicely. What should have been a wonderful celebration of 39 years of marriage ended miserably. We had reservations at The Flame for Saturday night at 6:30. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated which was wonderful. Our server approached the table and asked for our order. No chit chat. No small talk - all business. No nightly specials were even mentioned. We ordered stuffed mushrooms and after a 20 minute wait, they finally arrived. They were delicious. We had already ordered our entrée but it was 75 minutes before it arrived. During this time, larger parties came and went while we continued to sit there. When the food finally arrived, my husband's rib eye was about a 1/4 inch thick and burnt beyond recognition, however it was hot. He did NOT order well done. They had not topped it with shrimp nor was his side correct. They did bring him his correct side only after we asked. I ordered surf and turf. Mine arrived ice cold as if it had been in the refrigerator. Flavor was nice however, eating ice cold filet with cold creamy seafood was not appealing and definitely not worth the price. During our 75 minute wait, no one asked if we needed anything, refilled our drinks or offered an explanation. We have been there several times in the past. Always had pretty decent service and the food has always been really good. This was all before covid hit. We went the other night with six other people. it wasn't very good. I ordered my filet medium, it was well done. My wife ordered her filet medium well and it was well done. One other person in the group ordered a ribeye, but ended up getting a filet. When she asked the waitress what had happened, she said that is what you ordered. The lady said no I'm sorry I ordered a ribeye, could you please get me one. The waitress responded with I sure can but I will have to charge you extra for it! I really couldn't believe that she just said that. Considering there were eight of us there. One huge mistake, four other smaller mistakes and never offered to take anything off the bill. My wife was also charged for an extra glass of wine. I really don't know what has happened but they definitely need some better Cooks. out of eight steaks two were cooked correctly. I hate to complain, so I didn't, I paid for my meal and I tipped the waitress 20%. The other ones however, paid for their meal and left no tip. they also said they would never be back.
