Wendy's — Restaurant in Carbondale

I went to wendys in Carbondale illimois drive-thru after grocery shopping today knowing I wasn't going to eat it until I got home mind you I live 25 minutes away. I ordered 3 biggie bags all 3 upgraded 2 to medium and 1 to large. My son eats his fries on the way home because who likes cold fries we were half way home when he realized that all 3 bags had small fries when 2 should have medium and 1 being large. I immediately pulled into a parking lot to try to call them but since they didn't give me a receipt even though I paid with a credit card I had looked the number up online. After spending 5 minutes trying to get someone to answer I call the Wendys in marion to make sure I was right about my fries being upcharged since I paid for it and they told me they get alot of complaint calls from the Carbondale wendys... they gave me a different number to try but couldn't promise me any kind of justice... I'm now home grocery put away and my kids have eaten their food but I'm so miffed I haven't touched mine. I asked for ranch for my nuggets and salt and ketchup packs before they had me pull up for anither 7 minute wait... makes me want to jump back into the car and drive the 25 minutes back so I can complain to a manager but would that truly do anything but waste my gas.... I would recommend...

Unless youre already having a bad day dont come here because they will ruin your mood. The employees I encountered at this location were by far some of the worst! I came in to pick up a door dash order and the girl at the counter was being RUDE! I asked another employee if I could speak to the manager and she said that they were not there so I asked for their name and number and then of course all of a sudden the manager IS there 😂 when I spoke to her she seemed nice and a pinch passed middle age so I didnt want to let my frustration out on her, and said the customer asked for a substitution for their missing item. I was so thrown off by their attitudes and energy that I didnt even realize they got the order wrong until I got to the customers door, I FELT SO BAD!! I dont even order from this wendys for myself anymore because their service is HORRIBLE, and the doordashes I pick up definitely remind me not to try again. So I live in Du Quoin and we don't have a Wendy's. Last time I was in Carbondale I stopped at Wendy's and bought a couple of doubles with fries and drinks in the drive thru. When we got home we had no fries. Now yesterday my wife was in C-dale and stopped for a burger and got me the New Taco Salad. It looked good on TV so I decided to try one. They must have sold a lot of them because when I got home there was a garden salad with a bowl full of lettuce with two little pieces of tomatoes, six shreds of cheese, a bag of corn chips, about a half cup of salsa and NO CHILLI. For this I had the privilege of paying about six bucks. I know we don't buy from you guys unless we are in C-Dale so we are not one of your best customers, so it won't hurt you to know we are not you customers any longer. Just to express my point about screwing people in the drive thru, I am telling my story to every ear in DuQuoin that will listen. I can't help the people in C-Dale but I know a lot of people in DuQuoin, and I talk to about 40 to 60 per day when they come into work and shop at the place I work in.
