As someone who stops here daily to use their free WiFi and work on my own tasks, rarely ordering as a result, I have noticed quite a few things in the many hours of being here.
Morning time - Morning rush tends to hit these guys any time between 9 AM and 10 AM, where the line through the drive thru is occasionally back to the entrance, but not for more than a minute or two. However, upon taking notice of their times that are easily seen from the common entrance and the front counter, their times can hit up to around 240 seconds from the moment a car pulls up to the moment they leave the second window. This leads to both employees and managers working a lot to get those orders out ASAP.
While I understand that these employees work their butts off to serve the drive thru, one major problem I have noticed is that the front counter station doesn't nearly get as much 'I'm lovin' it' kind of love. Sure, those guys up front are phenomenal with their service, but I think that reallocating some employees to the front counter station during busy times would be beneficial. This is because of a few things. 1: A customer could be standing by the pick-up station and having to say "excuse me?..." to get their attention. 2: while it is short and infrequent, the line of customers can pile up, both in ordering and picking up. This doesn't last long, but a manager does have to point it out to the staff. It's handled quickly so I can give them credit there.
Lunch time - It tends to be a lot calmer during the lunch period. I haven't taken notice of when the lunch rush hits exactly, so expect this review to be updated with that information when I realize it. Important thing to note though: breakfast 'ends' at 10:30, where lunch begins. Some stores merge breakfast and lunch by starting lunch at 10:30 and ending breakfast at 11:00, but this store is not one of them. However, on weekends, breakfast ends at 11:00 sharp, marking the beginning of lunch.
Dinner time - Once again, dinner rush is unknown to me. I will update as I have more information that I pay attention to. The manager shift changes are quite interesting though. Morning managers can be a bit more hard-strung, by the book and all, but I get it. Opening the store, getting the influx of orders sent and done while prepping for the mid and night shift people can be a big breakfast to chew through.
So no, to all you late-night employees, you're not alone when morning shift talks poorly about you. Same goes for you too, morning guys. It's a lot to do for both ends, and we all have our struggles.
Personal pros & cons - As someone who spends hours each day here, I have times where I need to grab a drink, so I ask for a cup of water, fill with water to honor the request, and when I'm done, I reward myself with a soda. Now, water cups are free, yes, and they are combating this trend, especially those who don't honor the request for water and just grab themselves a Coke. (Hate Coke BTW, it tastes... bleh. All Coke, not just McD's) So expect to be given a tiny McD's paper cup instead of a plastic small cup.
Iced coffee... oh boy where do I begin... Stir, don't shake/swirl. The metal spoons that McD's uses for their Lattes, Mochas, and other espresso beverages is what is used to stir an iced coffee. If there's only one, please order more... I am a former 'valued' employee of four total stores across two franchises in two states, moving around because of transfers and residential relocation. All of them have a cup that has a small handful of those silver spoons, each one being used only once, maybe twice for double coffee orders.
Working. I truly wish I could work here so I can lend a hand. But, while employees have kindly offered for me to apply, I am not longer able to work due to medical complications. Overall though, you guys are doing great! Don't let the Nasties get you down, and to any customers who got this far, enjoy your day and maybe even sing out a Ba Da Ba Ba Ba, because today is a...
Read more10/6/22 My wife and I got to the drive thru around 10:20 ordered a large soda, bottle of water, 2x sausage egg mcmuffins for $17.00. When I pulled to the pickup window was asked to pull into spot 1. That was at 1024, then a car was parked in 2 and then 3 and 4 and then two more in the online order spots. By the time it was 1030 there were 6 cars including ours and one off to the side waiting for food. At 1035ish they started bring out bags of food to the cars one by one. Each time almost they asked what we had and I told the diffrent folks what were ordered and each time was told something along the line of 'no I don't have yours yet' Eventually every car was gone and now it was 10:45ish and we were approached by a woman who said was the manager who said they were remaking our food now. At 1050 she came out to tell us they can make breakfast anymore and would we like to order lunch. I reminded her that we had now been there for 30min and NO we would like breakfast still. She said she couldn't and offered my money back. She took my recipt and we for my money. When she returned a few min later only offered me $11.34 back. When I asked she said that she can't refund my soda and the bottle of water since we drank some or from it. I asked then how is damn near $6 for drinks, she said that's all she can refund and that was it....
Not only did we spend over 40 min there, we got no food spent money and then didn't get it all back and to be honest were argued with when all we wanted was at the bare min an apology for everything that happened. $6 isn't going to break my bank, it does show the level of disrespect. I know their are staffing issues and employees that can't be controlled some times, maybe just maybe the customers who pay for food first should get it before others who haven't paid yet. I fell we were just lost in the shuffle of having so many cars waiting and everyone scrambling by an issue and problem they caused and we lost money. I wonder how many...
Read moreTo start off any time I go to this location I ALWAYS have to pull forward or to a spot. This doesn’t usually bother me too much though. I know it’s part of getting fast food. Today I went there with my husband and toddler. I ordered “a number 3 large with a sweet tea” then was told to hold on, like I was going too fast. Then after he said anything else I said a nugget happy meal with sprite. The entire time the screen is changing like he he kept putting in different orders and taking them off. Then he starts talking to coworkers with an open mic cussing and completely ignoring us. Eventually he says hello hello with an attitude…no idea if he was talking to us so I continued my order. Said number one large with a coke. And two mcfrapes. After another 10 minutes of him going back between us and coworkers and completely screwing up what we ordered. I told him the number one was supposed to be a meal. With attitude he told me I didn’t say that I didn’t order a meal. He said he had already closed the sale. I said well I wanted a meal can you fix it. He said no I’d have to make another purchase. And kept saying I didn’t order a meal. I said whatever I’ll go somewhere else. We were very patient with this employee up until he couldn’t fix our order that he messed up because he wasn’t paying attention. I am never one to get overly angry with fast food workers or any customer service worker but this was a few hours ago and my blood is still boiling. As we drove off could hear him say the f word towards us. I will never go back to...
