I would give zero stars for service if I could. The bartender/waitress had a lot of customers to wait on. They don't have any servers so when we sat down I said it looks like she could use some help.Things went downhill from there. When I asked her if there was drink menu she cut me off and she said I had to wait for her to come back. Same thing happened when I had questions about an item on the menu. When my shepards pie arrived it was very watery so I sent it back. She then asked me if I ever had shepherd's pie before and said that's the way it's supposed to be. She said she goes to Ireland all the time and thats the way it's served. Then she said she should have figured because she knew I would be a problem from the beginning. I asked for the check because I'd had enough of her rudeness and told her she needed to learn how to talk to customers. She said I was nasty to her and then called me white trash and told me there's the door. I asked her for the owner's name and she said she was very close with the owner and he wouldn't want a customer like me and wouldnt tell me his name. Needless to say we won't be going back. Apparently asking questions about the beers they have and a question about a dish was enough to send her over the edge. One of the worst experiences I ever had in a restaurant anywhere.(I use that...
Read moreMaggie's has Amazing food and usually great staff. It's one of my favorite local places to go. However about a week ago (late Saturday afternoon) my boyfriend and I stopped by for what we thought would be a quick bite, it wasn't. Mind you the bar was not even half full but it still took us about 15 mins to just order a beer. The whole time spent there we were made to feel as if we were "bothering" the bartender. We had to get her attention more than once to even order some appies. After all was said and done our unpleasant experience was coming to an end or so we thought. We simply inquired about a discrepancy on the bill & were told (rudely I might add) "those prices are wrong". As she abruptly ripped the menu out of the holder she says with a side of sarcasm " it's Not Personal". I understand it's summer & business may be slow but it's no reason to have ill mannered, unexperienced staff. I also work with the public & if I Ever treated my customers with such distain you'd be sure I wouldn't be back the following day. We all have bad/off days but it's never to show while working. It's a real shame because we really like this establishment but this latest trip has completely turned us off. One thing she was right about... It's Not Personal, it's business. So let's try to stay...
Read moreThe bartender was also our waitress and she was the only person taking care of the whole place. Our service consisted of the bartender dropping things on our table and then running off. Any questions we asked appeared to be a bother. Multiple times she ran off stating she would answer the question when she was able to come back. We ordered Shepherds pie that was so runny it looked like soup. When we wanted to return the item she asked incredulously if we had ever eaten the item in question because that is how it is served. So beware, you will get a sloppy plate of meat gruel covered with a greasy sheen on top. After this she made comments about knowing we were trouble and called my dining mate white trash before pointing to the door saying her boss wouldn't want any customers like us. The final insult was when I had to pay for this mess she passed me by multiple times and wouldn't take the bill to be processed. After putting on my coat and starting to get up from the booth she finally deigned to take my money. Worst experience ever. Makes you want to stay home. But I guess she can get away with that attitude because as she told us multiple times, she is very close...
